Chris Brown: So Sorry

Chris BrownIt only took Chris Brown a week since we broke the story of his alleged beatdown of Rihanna to release a statement... but here it is.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writing under my name are frauds."

A spokesperson for Rihanna declined to comment.

31. Denial is truly a river in Egypt. Now all the Chris Brown stans can stop saying that she wasn't really beaten up. His dad as well as hers have both made statement,, so it should be pretty clear that he did attack the poor girl. There's no excuse to say he was provoked, all he had to do was get the hell away from her, not beat her. Now since she "provoked him" and suffered the consequences, he should suffer the consequences and go to jail for domestic violence. That's just the way the law workds. If you don't want to go to jail, don't hit. He should have just called the police if she didn't get out of the car. Now his career is jeopardized. I bet he won't hit anohter human being... if he does his is mighty stupid.

33. CHRIS is Young, Sweet, and innocent It is obvious that he has a good HEART. He will never do this again guaranteed. He now realizes that no woman is worth all this trouble. not even a SPOILED DIVA like Rihanna even if she is a celebrity. He should stay away from her. She has tooo much attitude and her strong personality will push him to the edge (like it did this last weekend). He is better of with a sweet girl that would make him HAPPY instead of a brat that is mean to him, threatens & chanllenges him.

35. Chris, big man slapping a lady around. You must have seen your daddy do that!!! I would love to put the gloves on with you. I am sorry you only hit women.

36. Well people, who are you to judge him..? Do you even know what really went down? We women are wicked, I admit... And you men out there know..! Don't tell me that you have never been with or one of your friends have dated a crazy, moody girl? so why hasn't she acknowledge what she did to get him so mad? I love Rihanna's music, but hell it is also her fault, she says that this wasn't the first time, well then why did she let it come to this???
Besides, she is OLDER than him..... Everyone seems to be attacking Chris just for being a man and I think it is unfair, she is no angel... Think about it.

37. I think its disgusting that these celebrities are taking up for Chris. He was wrong what if if it was your mother or sister? They have no backbone or conscience in their world. He hired a pr firm to issue this statement so sad he couldn't apologize or even express as he said remorse without the help of these people. There's no reason to hit a woman in that manner and I won't even speak of the biting of hands. He should be prosecuted and send a message to all young girls and men its not okay to act in that manner and the law applies to everyone.

38. good luck with you and GOD, even though he has decided that your life and career need to take a different path now. i can't believe chris brown included God in his statement. what the hell is he going to do for him now? your actions were not in the hands by God, if the assault is all a fact, that wasn't in God's hands for you to batter your partner. so, its also not in God's hands whether you will get charged or not.

40. Many people don't get big breaks in life and CHRIS DID.......it doesn't matter WHAT she may have done......YOU NEVER LAY A HAND ON A FEMALE. There are so many people who want the money, fame, and success you have.....you have done what so many other celeb's have done.....abuse ur break in life. I hope you and Mike Vick go to the same place....working at burger king in VA bitches. If he raised his hand once....he will again. He's not stable in the dome pieces. END OF STORY.

41. He is not sorry he beat down RiRi; he's only sorry he got caught and that it could cost him his endorsements and career. Its his pr team at work again! They first tried to throw the blame on RiRi, accusing her of spreading an std, infidelity claims, and provocation. When that crap didn't work, they threw out his family (all of whom have something to gain by his career) to defend him. When they realized these ploys weren't working with the public, they haul out their cash cow to beg for forgiveness. . . yet still try to interject that we don't know what happened. Why the hell are u apologizing then? Oh yeah to save your ass, not because ur sorry. This punk needs to go to jail for what he's done. This is not a mistake. he has done this before. He needs counseling as well as jail time,

42. " I'm on Chris Brown's side. I'm still a fan. Why is everyone hating him now? what about Rihanna? She had to do something to tick Chris off. She had to play some big part in this whole thing. Stop making it seem like she's innocent. Even the project runway winner said "she's a diva". She had to do something to Provoke..."

TAMERA: YOU ARE THE TYPICAL BATTERED AND ABUSED WIFE WHO BLAMES HERSELF FOR GETTING BEAT. "IF ONLY I HADN'T TICKED HIM OFF."

YOU HAVE DISGRACED YOURSELF AND YOUR MOTHER IN THE PROCESS

43. Tamara, you give women a bad name. Nothing she could ever do, including "being a diva" excuses his behavior if the allegations are true. He knew exactly who he was getting involved with - one of the most famous faces on the planet. I am sure he has some diva-like tendencies of his own. Pathetic that anyone would excuse his behavior, let alone a woman.
