Ludacris

Where the White People At?

2/19/2009 12:15 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Ludacris gave a special shout out to all his white fans at club LAX in Vegas last night, because, "If it wasn't for the white people, I wouldn't be selling 2 to 3 million records and sh*t ... I love y'all."

32. I'm college educated and I'm an African American female married to a white male. I was just making a joke. You OBVIOUSLY have issues with African Americans and are filled with a lot of hate toward us. Must suck to be you. Also, I've been reading through quite a few of the comments from the "down and out" ANGRY whites on here and i just want to be sure about this...are you seriously THAT p*ssed off because he thanked his WHITE fans? LOL

While I applaud you for being an educated woman you are correct in assuming I have issues with African Americans and have a lot of hate towards you. I wouldn't, however, if I could walk my dog after dark without having to worry about the young blacks that roam the streets and beat and rob people. Most African Americans have that chip on their shoulder like you're better than everyone else and everybody should bow down to you. I see the attitude everyday just about. When I stop my car to let a black person cross the street I've never had someone give a heads up as in a thank you or better yet they just take their sweet azz time crossing. White people will at least acknowledge you and give a quick wave as in saying thanks. I NEVER thought of myself as a racist and in fact had nothing but disdain for racist. I grow more angry by the day when I see all the attitude from your community. I just moved from where I lived that was a beautiful quiet place until a few black families moved in. Parents that use to take their kids to the swings no longer do so because the young African Americans have no moral compass. Every other word out of their mouth was F this and F that. Standing in the street and not getting out of the way for passer-bys and acting like they're the only ones in that neighborhood.
You're educated so let me ask you this. Would you feel more comfortable living in the ghetto or living in a quiet neighborhood where the majority is white? Don't lie.

You can't be that ignorant to think that ALL African Americans think and act the way you described in your little rant there. I know I don't act as such and I take strong offense when people like you generalize like you just did. You have never met me and know nothing about me, but because you have a few ghetto people move into your nice, white, pristine neighborhood you assume we all act as such. So then I could argue that all Texans drag innocent black young men behind trucks, right? I guess I should also assume that every white person I come in contact with has the same hatred and disdain for me as you do because of my skin color? And you wonder why the blacks you encounter treat you the way they do. If there is one thing blacks can smell, it is racism and you stink of it!

The only thing your rant has proven to this (once optimistic) black girl is that all of the cheerleading that went on when we finally as a nation elected an African American President means absolutely nothing. It just gives race haters and race baiters like you more to bitch about and more ammo to use to further spread your hatred and negativity

P.S. I would never live in a ghetto because my mother raised me to be a hard worker and move forward not backwards. With that being said, I DO understand the struggles of those who live in ghettos (and this includes a lot of whites I know who live in them too) and don't judge them in a negative way because they are less fortunate than me.

# 8- Just so you know, since many people like to forget. WHo sold the Africans to the white people?? Other africans....so whos just as guilty?? ANnother thing..not all whites had slaves....and some riske their lives helping them to escape slavery. But ludacris's statement is true..I mean most black rappers make their income off of a bunch of white kids listening to their "music". ANd Jay-z's remark didnt get much attention either...he IS a racist.

I am very proud that we as a country were able to elect the first African American into the White House and I truly wish him the best of luck. It says a lot about this country and how much we've grown BUT there are still a GREAT MANY of African Americans that have huge chips on their shoulders and you are one of them. Whether you're willing to acknowledge that or not I could care less. Quit pumping out the gangsta rap that influences your young kids into thinking all women are ho's and you have to carry a gun to get respect and maybe they'll take an interest in something else besides being hoods. Did your mother let you listen to that music? If so that's child abuse at it's best.
Don't be sad though as I have the same views on White Trash as well. And I know....there's a lot of them but their not quiet as loud as you all though.

Good for him for acknowledging that many white people buy his music; it is not a race thing! Some people think it is only black teens buying rap music, but rap music crosses many socioeconomic boundaries. Ludacris is just telling the truth. Now I wish more black people would try rock music. I have heard some blacks comment they will only buy "black music." Music should not have these boundaries!

There's nothing offensive about his comment. He's just acknowleding and thanking his white fans. I'm a black female living in Canada and I hate rap music. My music of choice is rock, jazz, reggae etc. I particularly love the music of the 60's. The Beatles, Moody Blues, Platters etc, Love Bon Jovi and the Eagles. Don't generalize by colour. If it sounds good I love it. Don't care what colour the singer is. Just enjoy!!

It was not even insulting to whites nor is this racist. You spend so much time being racist, you are so quick to make up the lie that blacks are more racist (which we are not).
