35. I don't know what telecast you TMZ idiots were watching, but I thought that musical number was absolutely wonderful and Beyonce was amazing! The entire Oscars were among the best I've ever seen. Bravo! And while I usually prefer to pay homage to age and legend and the singers who are really associated with songs, in this case, I'll make an exception. Etta James needs to get over herself. I might have supported her if she hadn't broken her own arm patting herself on the back. It isn't Etta's song, and Beyonce can sing it, or I can sing it, any time we darn well please. Stupid freaking Idiot. Nobody gets to keep a song to themselves. Who even thinks that way?

38. Lets review the facts- Would anyone in 2009 under the age of 30 even recognize the name Etta James if it hadn't been for Beyonce playing the role? If it is Etta James song- she would be collecting royalties each and every time it was sung by Beyonce. Dolly Parton didn't get mad when Whitney Houston took her song and flipped into a blockbuster single part of a highly successful movie and made Dolly a few extra wads of cash.

ETTA JAMES- please get some perspective and respect the fact that you are in the spotlight again use it towards your advantage, Think about what you are doing to your legacy, you have the choice to go out as a great one or "was ONCE a great one"
