Robert Downey Jr. really is back ... better than ever.
Here's 25-year-old Downey back in 1991(left) -- and 18 years later, the 43-year-old version at the Oscars this week (right).
Getting arrested and going to rehab a bunch of times really does the body good.

Anyway, I met Robert Downey Jr when he was here on Kauai filming Tropic Thunder. We took a photo and he was a really nice guy and let me tell you, he's not had any word done at all. He really looks great in person.

7. Robert Downey Jr. TAKES CARE of himself. It's possible to look good if you exercise regularly and don't binge on junk food--Yes, he 's had a troubled past, but I respect his courage for working his way back to the top. If he had kept on with his abusive habits, it WOULD show in his face. Just look at Keith Richards!

10. Robert Downey, Jr.'s dad is still hot and he's in his either 60's or 70's. Downey is a good guy, just got messed up in drugs. Glad to see he's doing well and continuing to act 'cause he is definitely a great actor.

12. Looks to me like he did have a little lipo on the chinny. Otherwise, that face is his, plus a little hair color. You guys are just assuming that just because he likes to party he should look like Gary Busey.
