16. Who cares? Celebs are always getting involved in politics, this is nothing new. As long as he isn't trying to shove any particular political agenda down anyone's throat, let him be. Sean Penn stays under the radar, for the most part. The only time you see his name in the press is when people (like TMZ) try to make something out of nothing. This "story" is a prime example. Sean Penn is an amazing actor and deserved to win the Oscar for Milk. As long as he keeps taking great roles and minding his own business, he is alright with me.

18. well, everyone knows that sean penn is an idiot. I mean did you hear his acceptance speach at the award show. He first told everyone they should be ashamed of themselves for voting against propostion 8. I have no problem if you voted for or against it, but for him to tell people to be ashamed, well we do live in a great country where we are able to vote on things like that and express through that vote our opinion. He definitely shouldn't have used that platform to express his opinions, it was tasteless. It also completely showed his ignorance on politics when he then went on to say he was pleased that America finally elected an "elegant man" as president. Again, not a huge problem with him saying that, but what is funny is that, this "elegant man" that he loves and we elected is AGAINST gay marriage. I wonder if Sean Penn knew that. Again, what a douchebag to use that platform to try and push his own views, when he obviously doens't even know anything about politics and the views of the politician he obviously voted for. Moron!!!!

Not only is Sean Penn wrong about Chavez, he is wrong about politics in the good old USA.

I'm so sick of hearing the liberal agenda being forced down our throats! On the rare occasion when a celebrity has conservative views, they are shot down, not listened to, told they are racists or haters, and they're not listened to.

Meanwhile, idiots like Sean Penn, Ashley Judd, Bono (who isn't even an American, so shut the hell up, Bono) and others are out there acting like they know what they're doing and think they're saving the world.

Get over yourselves!

You are actors. You are paid to pretend you are someone else.

You are not even in touch with reality because you're paid millions of dollars to do your jobs, plus you then get all kinds of ridiculous awards at ridiculous award shows where you dress up, act like you're in a fairy land, and then give ridiculous acceptance speaches when you take your little statues home.

How about living like the rest of us for once? How about getting paid to do your job and then that's that? Do you see the rest of us earning millions of dollars for such short-term jobs as making a movie? Do you see the rest of us wearing expensive designer outfits and getting jewels on loan so we can go to televised award shows where our colleagues tell us how great we are and we get even more recognition for our piddly jobs?

Then those awful acceptance speaches take place.

Good lord! They're terrible!

If only people like Sean Penn knew how ridiculous they sound.

If only they knew how many of us in the middle of America, in the heart of America, the real people of America, laugh at them and sometimes even refuse to "support" them by not going to their movies.

I refuse to see anything by Michael Moore because he's a lunatic, and that's just one example.

I'm glad Maria Conchita Alonso spoke up about Sean Penn's nonsense.

I wish more people in the entertainment industry would speak out against the liberals and the ones who simply have it wrong.

I'll bet she has liberal views in other areas, though, and the only reason TMZ posted this is because Sean Penn just won and she said something negative about him.

I bet she disagrees with Penn about Chavez and that's as far as it goes. I'll bet she has liberal views elsewhere. If she is conservative in other ways, I'd be very surprised.
