Penn's Co-Star - Imbecile on Politics

Anyone remember when Sadam Hussein welcomed Penn with open arms? I seem to remember Sadam saying that Penn found no WMD and that proved Iraq was didn't have any. Penn probably helped bury them...

Why does anyone listen to anything an actor has to say about politics or social issues? They (generally) aren't well educated, aren't informed, and haven't put any thought or research into the topics of which they speak. All they have is a camera and microphone in their face. We don't want to know their uninformed opinions. We want them to act and entertain us. That's all.

Okay - I am a true, true, trueeeeeeee swing voter here. A complete independant because I agree with both sides on certain issues (social issues - liberal, economic issues - conservative) and I am not an Obama fan but that isn't the issue here.. The issue is that Penn seems to support brutal dictators like Chavez.. What is with these Hollywood actors? I know a lot of them are barely educated and only know how to memorize lines and then speak them but geesh.. if you're ill informed about a subject then shut the hell up!

Sean Penn is an idiot and he's been known to be a total, arrogant a-hole on film sets, to the media and to his fans (what little fanbase he still has)..... he's an extremely self-absorbed, arrogent jerk.

Unless you have lived or have someone living under Chavez's dictatorship, they should just shut up...he is a cruel, heartless, crazy devil who has turned my beautiful country into a sad, struggling, unstable "republica bolivariana" as he calls it, who's people are hurting, loosing the country they have worked so hard to build...someone mentioned that he was elected democratically by the people of Venezuela...yes he was elected my dead great grandmother who has been dead for 50 years, they put all the registered voters on the newspaper and her name and ID# were there., this is not the only cheating he has done in the forsaken 10 years in office. Thank you Conchita for mentioning this, I am sad that it was on TMZ and not in the nightly world news, people need to know what can happen when you don't pay attention to your country's politics. I do not have an opinion on Sean Penn, if it isn't him, it would be another ignorant soul.

Sean Penn's father was blacklisted (rightfully so) back in the day and Sean has never gotten over it. Forever the victim. so now he embraces all things leftist and Commie like his father. Keeping on the tradition I guess. Next will be a trip to Cuba to meet Castro and company! He is the male Jane Fonda!

The sad thing is here that Huga Chavez turned into a Dictator and Killer. Much like every politician he statrted off his carrer as somewhat of a freedom fighter. He was a soldier in the army and faught with his fellow citizens side by side. He was elected on the basis that he was was going to nationalize the oil company in Venezuela so that everyone could benefit from it. He educated the people in the slums and had his own people go into these places to teach the people their rights...it quite facinating that if you go into these places these people can reciete their own constitution. He was removed from office from people who were against him even though he won the election. The people faught to get him back in even taking over the embassy and forcing him back into his rightful spot....but that was when he was first elected its true what they say absolute power currupts absolutely. now he is a shell of the freedom fighter he use to be pushing his will because he has ruled for so long. The current elections in Venezuela has shown that smaller parties are on the rise and pretty soon will push him out of office...Thank God

Congrats Maria! She said what is truth, but I am a little concerned at how TMZ reported the story. Clearly she had been drinking, and that is her right, so why do we have a media outlet interviewing her at that time. Did anyone notice the way the by-line was written; "Penn's Co-Star - An imbecile on politics!"
Don't kid yourself TMZ may have gotten it right this time, but they have a left-leaning agenda as well!
Chavez is a bad guy! How many know that he just declared himself virtually; "President for Life!" It won't be long until we see BO portrayed the same way. There is already a bill in the hose that seeks to eliminate the 2 term maximum, sponsored by (shock of shocks), a far left liberal democrat! I am sooooo amazed!
Watch around you people, the BO Dictatorship is just around the corner! Once they get our guns and ammo, and curtail free speech, the fall will be swift!

She is 100% correct.
Anyone who knows anything about VZ knows that Chavez has expropriated mines and oil wells and, in so doing, detroyed the production of the countries two major exports and employers. With the expertise of foreign companies gone and the refusal of new companies to come in and have their investments stolen, those two sectors have stagnated.

Throw in Chavez's desire to be ruler for life and his fixing of elections and jailing dissidents to make that possible, he is truly a dispicable killer. Only the left in America don't realize it.

Sean Penn is a good example of why Joe McCarthy started to do what he did. It's so easy for a guy who pretends for a living and becomes wealthy, to belittle the rest of us by shaking the hands of dictators and tryrants. Sean, leave America and we will be able to live without you. Can you live without the United States to back you up?

Sean Penn had no business being in New Orleans with that boat, with a camera, looking for a photo opp to make it look like he's a humanitarian.

He needed to get the heck out of the way so people could do their jobs.

But that's not where the problem started.

The problem down there started with their IDIOT mayor who didn't use the school busses to get people out.

And the problem was also with the people who sat back and had this "victim mentality" and this idea that the government is supposed to step in and save them.

That's not what our government is for, and we'll only have more problems like that (the handling of situations, not the actual act-of-God situation itself) as long as the liberals continue to convince the people that the government is there to wipe their butts for them and take care of them.

Take care of yourselves, people! It's not the government's job to take care of you and it's certainly not some lame actor's job to take care of you.
