Phelps won medals for swimming in a pool not saving a drowning kid.
Then with a Nation of Idolaters kissing his chlorinated ass and all the Usual Corporate Suspects throwing monitary rewards at him in the hopes of luring underage Americans to consume their poison and garbage that they desperately attempt to define as food, what does your Hero do while being followed everywhere by someone with a phone camera?
He smokes dope... then lies about it.
Here's the equation: Gold Medals + illegal drugs + Lying = Loser.
No wonder you feel so close to your Hero

17. the dude is a MORON for taking a hit in public. His head must have been waterlogged from all that swimming or to big from all the press coverage he got. He should have known people are going to waiting to stick it to him.
Either way, he's still a moron for doing it public...he should have kept his weed habit at home.

Honestly, legalized drugs such as alcohol, and tobacco are going to kill you before weed does... Weed isn't legal because we don't have huge corperations lobbying for its legality on Capital Hill. If we did, maybe we could pay off a little of this debt we have here....

Who cares if or not he has smoked the green, just like Harvey stated he is a Hero and it sure would be nice if they would show pics of the person who took or submitted the photo of Michael Phelps with the bong, now this would only be fare and just for this person don't you think mmm? 21. What I don't understand is why he even agreed to do the interview. This photo came out weeks ago. It's old news. It's a big so what at this point. But since he did do the interview, of course he can't actually say that it was pot... that would be an admission of guilt. I doubt that this was his first time with a bong... and probably won't be the last. Obviously it hasn't been detrimental to his swimming ability. What he needs to do is choose his friends more wisely so that he doesn't get narc'd on again. No one ever died from pot. Legalize it and move on.

22. OH MY GOD!!! Someone smokes weed, horrible. PLEEEEASE people, get over yourselves, a pothead won how many gold medals??? Maybe all the horror stories we've all been told about weed are LIES!?!? It's just weed, alcohol is so much worse for you, duh. Oh yeah but our "wonderful government" says NO that's illegal! I'm pissing myself laughing, but maybe that's from the blunt I just smoked! Hahaha. He is and should remain a hero. Has anyone ever heard of marijuana being a "sport enhancing drug"? Didn't think so, yet he is AMAZING in the pool, despite being a stoner. I LOVE IT!
