Lindsay Lohan Wanted by Cops

A warrant was issued yesterday for the arrest of one Lindsay Lohan.

The Beverly Hills PD says the warrant is for $50,000 and it was issued in connection with her DUI case back in 2007, for which she is on probation. The PD would not specifically say why they want Lohan, but we think it's a good bet it has something to do with violating the terms of probation ... either failing to attend her alcohol ed courses or, perhaps, not taking or failing a drug test.

The PD ominously says, "It is our hope that Ms. Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter can be resolved in a timely manner."

We asked Lindsay about the warrant last night as she left the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.

Lindsay is not armed but considered dangerous.

UPDATE 3:00 PM ET: We're told the Judge in the DUI case has set a hearing for Monday Morning. We understand the topic is whether Lindsay violated her probation. She may be required to appear. Stay tuned.

UPDATE 12:09 PM ET: Lohan just issued a statement to PerezHilton.com: "This warrant for my arrest is completely fabricated and its (sic) a horrendous lie. This will make me loose (sic) every single deal that I have right now. Its (sic) horrible."

46. It looks like the comments are running about 40:1 against her;does anyone really care what happens to her or the other skankwhore Paris? Does anyone go to see her movies? I mean really, why would a studio take a chance on her?

47. She is troubled and needs help and I don't think her family need be involved and they seem to be the ones allowing it as she is clearly high half the time on coke. Jail would probably be the best thing for her right now. She is not humble and she seems to think she rules the world. I wish her much luck but she will not find any until she comes clean and admits she is not clean. Looking at photos from a year ago and so on you can clearly see the affects drugs has had on her. It makes me a bit sick that people like her are wasting their celebrity and money on drugs when there are other artist out there who are just as good or better looking for their next meal. It is truly an unfair world!!

49. Sad!, this girl is going nowhere.

She was so fortunate to be getting paid good money, when the truth is she can not act or sing. Her family basically made a living off of her success, and I really hope and pray her sister does not still want to follow in footsteps of a jailbait drug user. Where is Lindsay parents when she has all these problems?, what a trashy girl and family.

51. WHAT A SURPRISE! ONE PERSON SAID SHE NEEDED TO GO TO JAIL LIKE PARIS HILTON......WHAT? FOR A FEW HOURS?? 52. Perhaps Lindsay should have had the car park around the back of Chateau Marmont. that's where the whores park to do the Chateau's customers.

Chateau has public parking around the back of the hotel so the whores can have easy access to the hotel, and John customers.

53. What is incredibly sad is that this is a young girl who is throwing her life away before it has even began. Though she is a celebrity, and I guess I'm supposed to resent her, all I can see is a person in desperate need of help. None of us really know what motivates someone to use drugs. It could not have been the best childhood, with an alcoholic, ex-con of a dad from whom she had to get a protective order at some point. We have no idea what else may have gone on while she was growing up. So, rather than hating on her, I'm praying for her. I'm hoping that she gets the support she needs from a source that can really help her overcome her addictions before she ends up laid out in front of the Viper Room. She doesn't have to be a True Hollywood Story, but a role model to all the kids who enjoy her movies.

56. this girl is going to crack, she needs to do the right thing, stand up and take whats coming to her, grow the hell up. someone needs to step in, we don't need to hear her personal life,( who she has has sex with) don't want that info, but as far as her standing up and doing what is required of her, come on lindsay, grow up, clean up your act, stop being a party brat, you once had a great chance at being a great actor, but thats all you do anymore is party, cry, run after others, doing drugs, drinking, all for what, so you can waist our time, your time, hollywood stop playing around with these brats, theres plenty of people who would do whats asked of them, and theres those who think they can do anything they want, step on whoever they feel like, i wish i had what lindsay has, work, money, house, nice things, what is the problem? get the help you need before you throw it all away, GROW UP

Lindsay has moved out of Sam's house officially. We've already reported that, but now we've learned the move has had an impact on her criminal case. Lindsay has changed her address (from Sam's house) and was supposed to re-enroll for her alcohol education course at her new address. The deadline for re-enrolling was January 2, but Linds was 10 days late.

Ultimately, it was no harm, no foul and her lawyer Blair Berk squared everything away with the judge.

PS -- interesting that Lindsay goes to alcohol education courses by day, and bars by night.
