2. Oh yeah she's the one who ripped off Janet Jackson's "What have you done for me lately" to create "Looking for a new love".

6. This is to the comment of the person who said Jody copied off Janet...You must be young because to make a comment like that is very Juvenile...First of Jody paved the way for all the dance divas...Janet,Madonna..etc. They all bit off jody style...hoop earrings, vogueing, designer clothes...should i go on!!!!!!

7. 'what have you done....' and 'lookin' for a new....' are two different songs.......
the similarities can be attributed to the connection both songs have as far as the producers, who were all affiliated and influenced by the Minneapolis sound. and not too mention Prince.
most likely, since Jody's career as a recording artist and influential style icon happened long before Janet's did, it might be safe to say Janet's been on the lookout for the 'hip tips'. (let's not forget Soul Train and Shalamar!!!!!)
Jody was always ahead of the curve.....peep da history. :)
in the end...
both Jody and Janet are great at what THEY do, individually.
