"Next Top Model" Audition: What A Riot!

The next potential winner of "America's Next Top Model" may have almost been crushed to death ... and not because of crippling body image issues.



Three people were arrested and four were treated by medics after a riot broke out in Manhattan yesterday during an audition for the show.

The streets erupted when a mob of almost 10,000 model wannabes overwhelmed security and were thrown into a frenzy after a man allegedly yelled that a smoking car on the street was about to blow up.

In the end, everyone went home and threw up ... you know, because they were so shaken from the incident.

1. I was at the audition and it was absolutely out of control. The cops had no control over the situation! I waited 11 hours for a chance at my dream and was unable to get it becuase people were acting crazy! ANTM needs to come up with a better way to have auditions. Otherwise, there may be some serious injuries in the future! Shana-Philadelphia

7. i dont know i should be shocked or to laugh. both about how idiotic and barbaric and out of control ppl have .... willing to walk over anybody that gets in th way of their dream... and watch and see if the troublemakers dont now try to fault the police for either doing too much or not enough. sadly there probably were ppl who were truly traumatized and yet willl never come fwd like the loudmoth aggetators who surely will come forth...yep

9. My daughter and one of her girlfriends were there. They came from Delaware and stood in line for 11 hours. They were in the freezing cold and had nothing to eat. However, they were next ot get in when someone yelled a car is going to explode. Then they were told they werent takeing any more people...bascially cancelling the auditions.. I think these ambitious young ladies who came from different parts of the US deserve another chance. I also seen on FOX news that some guy who looked like a security guard was taking application and putting them in a box. Well I am glad my girls did not do this. Did he show ID that he was a representative for Tyra? Did he know Tyra at all? or was he just being nice? I really don't know. Once again I think these girls need another chance.

11. i was there.. wat people have to realize is that not everyone knew it was a smoking car..i was in the front and when thousands of people are running from behind you and screaming, u cant look behind you to see wats going on. the police didnt know wat to do so they said get down and stay calm..it was horrible ..the security should of had it organized from the morning not start setting up in late afternoon....
