16. If I were a survivor of a horrific plane crash with a couple of my friends dead and my skin & flesh burning - I'd be suing for AT LEAST $20 million too. Good luck DJ AM.

20. he deserves compensation because he was injured, but how do they come up with 20 million?
loss in income, medical bills, mental aguish ?????

most lawsuits don't settle 20 million for a death or paralysis,,So How does he come up with 20 million, is he 100% DISABLED? did he lose a limb?

23. I think the point of him suing for that much isn't so much to win the money, but more or less to send a message to the company that supplied the plane. Plus, I bet if any of you were burned in any accident ,you'd sue for any kind of damages. So really I don't blame him! And besides, the U.S. is the worst place for people making rediculous law suits and winning them!

30. God, I wish he had died in the crash, or gotten killed while walking across the street by The Mask's Ferrari. This douche won't get a penny. His case doesn't change any regulation in the airline industry, and does not merrit a punitive fine of $20M. In the 9/11 hijackings, victims were awarded large sums because the industry recognized that there should have been tougher security measures in place with regards to the pilot's cabin. The fines were levied to make the industry safer. He'll probably sue car companies for $10M for his next car accident. Fuggin' douche-nozzle
