We've just obtained new documents in DJ AM's lawsuit against the company that booked the jet that crashed. The surviving passenger wants $20 million -- minimum.
The way it breaks down, DJ AM wants at least $10 mil in damages for medical bills, lost earnings and profits and other economic damages. And he wants another $10 mil for mental and physical pain and suffering and other "non-economic losses."
46. I understand going after insurance companies and the actual company of the aircraft. But to go after the estates of the pilots is ridiculous. Those families lost their loved ones. Had the pilots all been under the influence and purposely negligent, it would be one thing. But come on, that is just wrong and greedy.

51. Everyone is Being so harsh! The TIRES ON THE PLANE WERE FAULTY AND THE OWNERS OF THE PLANE KNEW THIS, AND NOW EVERYONE KNOWS YOU SUE FOR WAY MORE THAN YOU REALLY WANT. I have no doubt you suffer from nightmares but give me a break! There are people all over the world who live a life that is more tragic than you suviving a plane crash. How about doing something amazing with the second chance you have been given. You got what you deserved from this tradgedy....you walked away with your life now make something of it. 55. I mean in an economic crisis our country is in he really thinks 20 million is necessary? Can't he look at it and see that he is extremely lucky to have survived? Why is the answer to everything suing for millions of dollars? Your friends lost lives what on earth does anyone need with 20 million dollars!!
When are celebrities going to stop being greedy and look at the everyday person and realize that we are struggling! Every race, every gender, every age, everyone is struggling. Are they ever going to open their eyes? How much money is enough? I mean come on!

56. I think he's asking for so much so that it will be cut down to the amount he really wants - maybe 5 or 10 million. That's still a lot considering he lived. I'd expect that kind of cash for the pregnant widow of the assistant who died.

I was watching a documentary on the flight that just crashed in the hudson river, and the passengers only got 5000.00! but you can see in their eyes the glow that most people do not have. you can see they have this glow in their eyes...normal people do not have that twinkle in their eyes, happy to have another chance at life.
why should he get 20 million for surviving? he should have that glow, but does he?
