What's the problem? She doesn't give a s**t about TMZ (a gossip website). Fine. So what? I mean, what's the fuss? Cheap populism and lame gossips is not the way to go. First, contracts for shows at conventions, charity events, business meetings etc. (so called "private gigs") are set up months and months in advance (one year ago in this case). We are talking about months before TARP was born (october 2008). Second, private funds were already allocated by Northern Trust long time ago. Third, if you violate your contract by not showing up or announcing at the last minute that you're not going to show - that's called breach of contract -- and you can be sued for that.

Is anyone aware that Northern trust was forced to take the money, they never asked or needen it, and were then penalized for paying it back early? I think TMZ needs to check some more facts before posting this crap.

What they were talking about at the end of the video is also a little known fact: 2 Saturdays ago she did a "charity" concert for an incredibly well endowed private school ($25,000 / year to attend) and they were trying to sell the tickets at $5,000 a piece. None were selling so they lowered it to $2,500 a piece. STILL weren't selling so they sold student tickets for $40.

For those of you who don't see the problem with Sheryl taking money to play at this event here is the reason why. She is a hypocrite. She decided a couple of years ago to jump on the righteous liberal bandwagon criticizing banks, rich people and the like for blowing money along with telling everyone they should use only one square of TP when they go to the bathroom to preserve the environment. I don't find anything wrong with this criticism as in many cases it is warranted but if you're going to criticize you'd better make damn sure that you aren't doing the same, ie. playing at a corporate event and getting paid an obscene amount of money from one of these institutions that they received from government bailouts. Because that makes you a hypocrite. I'm also willing to bet she's using more than one square when she goes to the crapper. As is the case with most of these liberal musicians and actors, who own multiple multi-million dollar homes, it's do as I say and not as I do.
