"I also think that the Ski Instructor who stayed with her after the injury should be given a paid vacation somewhere. That guy had a lot of sense and foresight."

You mean the ski instructor that didn't make her wear a helmut? She was on a Green Circle (aka Beginner) trail! She obviously was a beginner. Maybe I'm against the norm here but when I was learning how to ski, I fell a LOT. Helmuts were not worn much then but I see beginners with them all the time. Yeah, they probably kinda suck but when you're first learning, you fall in ways you never imagined you could fall. I know I hit my head several times and I'm sure a lot of people do but this tragic accident should remind us all that it only take one wrong fall.

Thoughts are with her family at this time.

So so sad. I was so hoping for a different outcome on her condition.
Her husband and those two little boys must be devastated.

I live in Mont-Tremblant where Natasha Richardson's accident took place and if the 2nd ambulance was called an hour or more after the accident and the paramedics spent 1/2 hour in her hotel room, it takes 30 minutes to get to the first hospital in Ste-Agathe, where she was then transferred to Sacre Coeur hospital in Montreal, which takes easily 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get to at that time of day on the busy highway leading from up north into Montreal, and including the hour after the accident where she refused and SIGNED a release from any medical intervention, makes up the time of approximately 4 hours to get medical help...which is exactly what the resort has stated. It may seem long for someone who doesn't live up north in the country, far from a majpr city but that is accurate information on the timeline. Too bad we don't have a heli-medical service up north which may come as a result of this horrific tradegy which eventually might save lives.
