Celebrity Justice
The Most "Gruesome" Celebrity Lawsuit Ever

Kim VoIt may be one of the most horrifying, head-scorching, skin-sizzling events ever -- and it allegedly went down at the same place Britney, Paris and Goldie Hawn have gotten their hair did.

The guy accused of torching his client's head is Kim Vo -- a self-proclaimed "master-colorist" featured on shows like "Extreme Makeover" and "Shear Genius."

According to a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, one of Kim's clients -- an actress named Carly Steele -- came to his Beverly Hills salon for a coloring in January. Things were going fine until Carly claims the aluminum foil Kim personally applied and set under a hair dryer began burning her, causing her hair and scalp "to smoke and burn."

In the suit, Steele claims, "she leapt from the chair" and people tried to remove the foil -- but, "they too were unable to remove the scalding and fiery foil and coloring agent which were scorching and sizzling into [Carly's] hair, scalp and head.

Steel claims she suffered "severe, debilitating and gruesome injuries" and is suing for an undetermined amount for her health care costs, plus other damages.

Calls to Kim have not yet been returned.

UPDATE: Kim released the following statement: "I was shocked to learn that a claim was filed and released to the press yesterday. To go to the press without having served me seems like an attempt for free publicity. I wholeheartedly dispute her allegations and will vigorously fight her accusations," stated Kim Vo, owner of the salon.

16. Kim Vo should contact TMZ and give his side of the story or explain if he can. When they avoid the press they give the impression that they are hiding something. If he is being told to not talk to the press, then his attorney should answer the calls from the press. He can always go on The People's Court RAW on the web and give his argument.

18. Did they put color under lights that should not have been under lights? Did they put her too close to the lights? How the hell does someone's hair start on fire in a salon. And SheSays - I've worked in salons for years. People's hair does NOT start on fire from overprocessing. I've seen chemical burns from color but NEVER a real fire.

21. Alumium foil hardly gets hot in a fire, never mind under a hair dryer. This is done millions of times a day all over the world. What a lame lawsuit, this chick must be so hard up for money.

25. To SheSays - There is NO agent that was on her hair previously that did this. It is the stylist fault. He put too much bleach on her hair at probably the highest volume to hurry the process up and he did something that he can be sued for - using a dryer with foils and bleach. This causes a chemical reaction upon another chemical reaction with heat!!!!! He should be sued and put out of business for life. I am a stylist too and this is the biggest nono there is! Never bleach and heat!! Sue him and sue him good! I always thought he was a fake anyway. Just because he is famous doesn't mean he is good - he just knows or screws the right people and sucks their .... just the right way. SheSays - you must have done this before too - all of the above. Shame on you - you know you should never rush a die job - many lawsuits and horrible scarring can be produced. It's pure laziness and he probably charges $1000.00 to rush a bleach job worth only $150.00.
