I think the extra sick thing here is that it was like a secret investment club and you had to know someone investing wtih Bernie and Ruth, and that person had to make a recommendation for you to be "accepted" into the investment club. I heard one woman say they begged and begged for Bernie (and Ruth, sorry gotta include her) to take their money. Like it or not, this was a secret Jewish pyramid and the only ones who knew of the scam were Bernie (and Ruth). Not all were Jews but most were. And most wanted that sexy 45% return.
