Special Olympics Champ to Barack: Bring it On!

3/20/2009 10:57 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

A bowling phenom in the Special Olympics has just challenged Prez Barack Obama to a White House roll-off ... and he'll probably kick Barack's butt.

Barack Obama

Kolan McConiughey, a Special Olympics competitor who has bowled three perfect 300 games, tells TMZ that the Prez has to score a lot higher than 129 to beat him. Kolan says he bowls an average of 266.

Play VideoKolan -- who works at a grocery store in Ann Arbor, Mich. -- said he'd love to go to the White House to beat Barack on his own lane. Kolan said, "He's cool, but he can't beat me."

We posed the challenge to the White House. They said "no comment."

Mr. Prez, I am one of your king making O'Bots in GA. The love lives on. But, you put your foot up your mouth with this one, and nothing less than a White House Bowl will get you off the hook. It is certain to be fun, watching these guys kick ass. Just be yourself.
Oh! by the way HERD IMMUNITY is an alert, read it, it's available at www.AuthorHouse.com., and America will remember you forever, for heading the warning.

To those of you who think it is not a big deal, you may be right. To those of you that do, you also, may be right. What is wrong is that people don't see the picture here. I HAD a sister with downs syndrome and lost her early in her life. My brothers and sisters and myself had many actual fist fights with ignorant a-holes who thought they were better than her and would poke fun and make jokes about her. The truth of the matter is she WAS the glue to our family. As people viewed her as some of you call a "retard", she instilled a pride and honor in us that is likened to no other. Unless you have a special needs person make a difference in your lives, you will not be qualified to be their "Warriors". Shame on you Mr. President for not realizing your remarks are very hurtful and you encouraged alot of these bloggers to see nothing wrong with making a joke at the expense of others. I hope you put some of the education funds to good use and educate the ignorant on this issue. Missing my glue

He's apoligized. Actually, the article says he called Tim Shriver, Chairman of SO to apologize right after the taping before the show aired. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090320/ap_en_tv/obama_special_olympics;_ylt=AmJpkJaFeYPj5CqOkBrybTxxFb8C

He can apologize, but the fact still remains that he basically said his bwling skills are sh*t like the skills of those in special olympics.

65. He should invite him to the White House. That would be the best form of humility and humbleness.

I love Obama, but didn't like that comment last night.

stand upp for the special olympics !!!

lord behold if bush had said something like that; the world would have come to an end.
what obama said was completely making fun of the special olympics .
plus, shouldn't obama be running the country ? what is he doing on jay leno ?

I think it is a distaste and offensive comment came from the president. To be honest, he has much more urgent and important things to do than joking like a pro, go bowling like special olympics, playing basketball like a high school kid and filling in lottery tickets like a die-hard NYT fan..

Gee no one got this upset when W.Bush joked are in the White House looking for WMD under the table, and chairs and other furniture, How many people are dead as a result of that joke?

Obama made a big mistake even appearing on a comedy show. He is supposed to be the leader of our country not an entertainer. Obama's comment was insulting and there is going to be fallout from it. So all of you who are defending him are wasting your time. It was a screw up plain and simple and he will have to own it. Obama you are about as good at being a president as you are at bowling. Do us a favor and resign already.

The President should have him come to the White House and bowl.
Give him a chance to let the guy and the rest of America know the obvious, that no offense was intended..
Besides, how cool would it be for this guy who obviously loves the game to get to play a game with the President in the White House.
It would be one of the high points in any lover of the games life.. And any time someone can do something that small to make that big of an impact on one person not to mention a large group of people.. They should.

If you're listening Barack, you got my vote on this one :)

Actually, this was free advertisement for Special Olympics to be mentioned by Mr. President. How many Americans knew of Special Olympics?

Keep talking its good for Special Olympics. In fact, our loved ones should be allowed in the Winter and Summer Olympics to compete with the Phelps of these worlds. Mr. President should rally for equality in sport.

Some of us with loved ones who are disabled we are loving the highlights. We hope Mr. Obama will open the gates to our children to the Whites. Good for you Mr. President, our loved ones do not whine as able bodied people who declare it offensive. They laugh at life and love evry minute of it as long their rights are not trampled on.

So Kolan, what would your near-certain victory over Obama accomplish for the Special Olympics organization?

I'm waiting ... I'll give you extra time, too.
