Erykah Badu's "Tucan"-Toting Stalker Arrested

Erykah Badu Most singers miss performances by using the lame "exhaustion" excuse. But not Erykah Badu -- she still made a SXSW gig last night in Austin even though an alleged stalker had barricaded Erykah inside her home.

Badu used the all-powerful Twitter to update fans, saying "Police just apprehended a stalker in front of my house. Stay tuned to details."

Erykah went on to say the woman had been outside of her house multiple times -- and she had "several misc. items spread out in the grass. Blue shutters, a rabbit, a tucan and a sketch book."

The lady was "pepper sprayed and cuffed" by cops -- and filling out the police report made Erykah late for the gig.

erykah who, you ask? erykah badu who has more talent in her pinky than most "musicians" on the radio now have in their entire collective body. you dare compare rihanna to her?? are you nuts?? but, then again, you probably buy the jonas brothers - rolling stones comparison too....

19. I was there and luckily it was a free show because I would have wanted my money back after waiting for her to come on and ramble through 2 songs. She was given a prime position at SXSW festival and she was horrible.

20. She is a lovely girl. Too bad she is a racist. " Time is for white people." was the quote that put me off her.
It's really a stupid thing to say. She is someone who is obviously only famous for her looks, not her voice. Nobody deserves to be stalked. She is lucky to have celebuspawn.

21. she rambled through two songs, she was horrible. she was given a prime spot at SXSW and she was late and completely sucked. Luckily it was free, but still wasn't worth the walk from the parking lot.

In response to negative comment number 9 by 'Daniel': You think that Alek Wek and Erykah Badu are 'ugly' because they have African/Afrocentric features, both of them dare to have natural hair as opposed to Eurocentric chemically-straightened hair or fake weaves and wigs. Also they both have darker skin than Rhianna (and they don't tend to have their magazine covers and images 'lightened' by magazine editors in the same way that Rhianna often does, compare her first music video with recent videos and magazine covers, the difference is obvious)...you need to wake up...you have been brainwashed and it is sad. Google/YouTube what Malcolm X had to say about the beauty of people of African decent...and watch a film called 'The Souls of Black Girls' it might just wake you up, hopefully.
