Gun-Toting Shawn Johnson Fan Arrested

Shawn JohnsonA man claiming he was "meant to be" with Shawn Johnson was arrested early Tuesday morning after trying to sneak on to the set of "Dancing With the Stars" -- and cops say he had two loaded guns and duct tape in his car.

Johnson's mother, Teri, has just filed a petition for a restraining order against the man, 34-year-old Robert O'Ryan. The restraining order seeks protection for 17-year-old Shawn, her mother, her father and her "Dancing" partner Mark Ballas.

According to documents filed by Johnson, "The LAPD searched [O'Ryan's] vehicle and located a loaded .45 handgun, a loaded shotgun, and materials classically used for kidnapping including duct tape, zip ties, and a map to the victim. Also found were love letters, clippings and other information on the victim."

According to the documents, O'Ryan told police "He had packed all his belongings and permanently left Florida to drive out here to be with [Shawn Johnson], he believes that she speaks to him personally through the television set and through ESP and that they will have a child together, he stated he would be with her no matter what."

According to the CBS incident report, the whole thing started Monday afternoon when a CBS employee noticed O'Ryan jumping a fence and entering a hallway in the East Studio. Private security confronted him and asked for ID -- and that's when O'Ryan produced an expired concealed weapons license. When guards asked if he had a weapon on him, O'Ryan admitted to having 2 guns in his car. At that point, the guards alerted the LAPD.

In the documents, Johnson claims she's "in fear for her life, she is extremely upset by this incident and her entire family and those around are all extremely concerned and fearful that [O'Ryan] might try to kidnap her or harm her in an effort to make good on his statements."

31. Someone needs to protecht Shawn, since the LAPD cannot seem to hold this crazy sorry human in jail. Shawn and her family might want to hire a private body guard or Dancing with the Stars should supply her with one.
This kid doesn't need to be worried about someone harming her, her focus is on doing a good job on her dancing.
what a shame!

32. sungal You have go to be kidding. The man is in need of help. If he is convinced she talks to him through the TV and through ESP. But if you dont see that I have to ask what your Smurfs say to you everyday through the Tv. The man is sick and needs to be treated away from people and society so he can no longer be a threat.

33. Lock this POS up and throw away the key. He's a danger to society just like that other POS that killed four police officers. Time we stop feeling sorry for these nut cases. That poor girl will be scared for a very, very long time.

34. This man is another victim of attempted ESP seduction and kidnapping. It is clear that super powered psychic teenage pop idols are attempting to use their mind invading techniques to seduce and kidnap men.

38. What in this world is wrong with LAPD or the DA or whomever to set this sick man's bail at $35,000? He should not be released until he has been evaluated by a professional psychiatrist or counselor!!!! He is released with a sllap on the wrist and this young, beautiful girl with her life ahead of her is DEAD. Wake UP.

39. Sadly, an order of protection is only worth the paper that it's written on. It won't stop him from harming her. Another young lady on Long Island was recently killed by someone whom she had a restraining order against. The document didn't keep her out of harms way. It's sad.

40. Come on, you people out there who are blaming Shawn for this nut's actions? You need help as much as this nutcase does! Shawn is only living her life.

41. I never understand why we put so much effort in trying to get these people back into society? If just 1 person is hurt or killed after they are released, is it worth it? We can't keep taking chances and hoping they will change! So what is you had a bad childhood or a mental illness, you're dangerous and therefor you give up your rights to be in our society!

44. To "Myself" who said I had to be kidding. Nope. I don't kid on these posts. This fellow will never have his mind made right. He is a danger to society today, has been in the past, and will continue to be in the future. Anyone who takes loaded guns, duct tape, zip ties, and a map around with him before locating his potential victim ~ hears "voices" from his TV and through ESP ~ needs to be locked away for good. As for your comment about Smurfs, you must be about the age of the other local school truants.

45. Her momma and daddy better make sure she has security at all times. This guy should never see the light of day outside a jail cell for the rest of his life. He is a freak and a nutcase for sure. I say raise that bail to 1M - he is not to be trusted. I totally agree that we should never put so much effort in trying to get these people back into society, They are mental and no amount of $$$, Therapy or treatment is worth the risk if he gets out and finds her. I am praying for her safety!!!!
