If you think tar is the only thing causing health problems in cigarettes you're an idiot. It couldn't possibly be the ammonia, formaldehyde, acetone, benzene, or any of the other crap thrown in there by the tobacco companies that are causing most of the trouble...on top of that I don't know any pot head who smokes 40 joints a day but I see plenty two-pack a day habits. I don't like either one, but if you think weed is worse than a pack of marlboro's, you're delusional.

69. Marijuana should be legal and isn't right now because pharmaceutical companies pay lobbyist millions to pressure congressmen/women to keep it illegal. Why? Because a small toke and your headache is gone, a double toke and your arthritis or gout doesn't hurt so much. Because it helps AIDS patients, cancer patients and those with glaucoma, among the many many other maladies it helps for the human body. It's why it grows from the earth and isn't artificially made by some company who has the legal right to "get you high" ... because it's what earth does. From the earth we are given the medicine we need to heal and overcome, it has happened throughout history and throughout nature. Nothing is bad as long as one doesn't abuse....One of the worst drugs on the planet being pushed right now by major american companies is food, now look how many obese people are running around, miserable, and causing insurance rates to sky rocket. Pot should be legal and purchasing more than one bucket of chicken for your family of one shouldn't be. Rock on Mr. Crabbe, just be wise.

The only thing "inexcusable" is your lack of knowledge. There have been multitudes of major university studies, such as one by Harvard, that have found no statistical link between frequent cannabis use and lung cancer/emphysema. There is tar in cannabis, but there is also tar in the air we breathe. Cannabis has expectorant properties, and actually works well at clearing the lungs of foreign particulate matter.

Educate yourself.
