Prez Pup Coming to Obama White House Tuesday

421. Oh, please. Have all of you pro-rescue people really thought about this? I've had both breeder-pups and rescue-pups, and will comfortably assert that the rescues are three times as much work AT BEST. Health issues, behavior issues, rehabilitation issues... These people are supposed to be running a country here, not coddling a fragile dog. Frankly, I figure how the President runs the country is our business, but how he runs his household -- including knowing the family limitations on what they can put into their pets to keep them from biting the press corps -- is his own. You know what else the Obamas aren't doing? Adopting any of thousands of needy human orphans left parentless by war or AIDS. Are you jumping in? Are you judging them for having two daughters of their own when there are needy children elsewhere? Or shall we stop judging people by the infinite number of things they are not doing?

Right. Now let's stop being distracted over the cute puppy and see what's going in with habeas corpus.

424. There WAS TOO a promise by Obama and Michelle to adopt a dog from a shelter. Bo is a breeder dog, and was never in any danger of being killed. Obama held a dog named Baby, a puppy mill dog that auther Dr. Jana Kohl wrote about in her book " A Rare Breed of Love" . Baby was a rescued puppy mill dog that had lost a leg, and had her vocal chords cut by scissors by the puppy mill breeder. Obama clearly stated he would never buy a dog. Well he might not have bought Bo from the Texas Kennel himself, but it was a 'breeder dog' none the less. This time Obama can't blame the Republicans for his broken promise. This could have been a huge opportunity for Obama to speak out against puppy mills, and show adoption from shelters should be the national first choice. Instead he has just contributed to thousands of PWD's being bred and later discarced to shelters. PWD fad will be just as bad as the Dalmation fad after Disney's 101 Dalmations movie. There were hundreds of thousands of Dalmations dumped in shelters in less than a year. Shame on Obama.

425. So the Obamas have found a way to get a pricey pedigree dog while making it look as if they are rescuing the pup because it's being re-homed. Figures they couldn't make do with some mix from a real rescue shelter. What a pair of hypocrites.

427. "hypoallergenic dog"

There is NO hypoallergenic dog. NONE It shows us how brilliant our new president and some of you are. Dander and Saliva are the two things people are the most allergic to in any dog. So Bo will stay away from the little girl who's allergic, the White House is large enough. Obama lied about other things all along so he'll like about her allergies.

All it will do is send other people to buy this "hypoallergenic" dog which it is NOT. There are NONE out there, not one mixed breed or breed does not have dander or saliva.

428. i personally think the dog is rather cute. looks like he has white socks on. after all, this is the President of the United States' dog, so he can choose whichever dog he wants. i'm sure this pup will work out fine. i just hope there is a place outside the White House where this pup can get his fill of playing in the water. I hear this breed loves the water. (besides at a nat'l monument)

429. Didn't he pose with a 3 legged dog at one point? I thought he was trying to send the message across that less fortunate shelter, and disabled dogs needed loving homes. Yet he goes and gets the family a "designer" pure breed dog, when I'm sure the girls would've loved a shelter dog just as much. Hypocrite much?

430. What a huge mistake. The Port. Water dog stays in PUPPYHOOD for about 4 yrs. and just wait until Charlie starts knocking down the Obama girls. TIBETAN Terrier dog is a perfect dog for the Obamas. Tibetan are great for people with allergies, weighs about 25 to 30lbs. and are hightly intelligent dogs. TIBETAN's are great companion dogs and are able to sleep in the bed, not take over the most of the bed. The Port. Water dog is a sporting dog and requires hours of exercise, whereas the Tibetan is low maintence for exercising.

Well, read between the lines of PETA's agenda...you aint gonna have them for long if they have their way. NO-ONE to own animals, ever, from the mouth of the biggest moron of all, their founder, Ingrid Newkirk. If you nuts want a shelter animal, go for it! You'll find some lovely pets there. Just don't try and force your ideas on those that don't! Also that's utter PETA crap that for every purebred purchased, a shelter dog will die. And to the idiot who said the Obamas got their dog from a "puppy mill", God help me, how much jungle juice have you been guzzling? I also can't believe the grubby minds of those of you who say such horrible things about the President and his lovely wife and family, and I don't even live in your country! There's an old saying..."those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Would do you well to take that on board!!!!!

434. I am so sick of the Obamas so far, Obama is not my president, I dont even brag that I am from America these days, this man and his family do not impress me in the least. I am miffed at the fact that he even has his Mother in Law living in the white house with them, who is paying her way, of course the tax payers! I have grown weary watching Michelle Obama in a new fashion of the week pic. Is this where the tax dollar is going? Why?

It seems almost a daily event for Obama to lick the boots of the most dispicable dictators in the world as clearly portrayed above. Regrettably, I think slowly we are all discovering, Obama was a mistake. He simply does not represent most Americans and he has no earthly idea where he is leading the masses. He does seem to be hell bent on damaging American’s reputation as the world’s leader. He mocks and makes excuses for our uniquely American ideals and traditions. Sadly, he makes me ashamed to be an American. And while this is hard to write, I feel the system failed miserably to select a President that inspires us all to be proud to be uniquely American. Rather, he makes us feel we are not unique and are merely citizens of the world.
