Celebrity Justice
Jake G. Uses Protection

Jake Gyllenhaal has used the strong arm of the law -- again -- to fend off the paparazzi.

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jakie G. flagged down a Santa Monica cop for the second time in two weeks, complaining the pappers were on his tail. Unclear what the motorcycle officer did, but Jake went on his not-so-merry way without further incident.

16. The paps won't leave him alone because they are so anxious to get a pic of him and a male friend being "more than friends" - they are probably driving him nuts. I would be sick of it too.

17. Does this no-talent queen think the police have nothing to do but deal with his non-problem? No wonder the crime rate is so high in Los Angeles. I'm sure he arranged to have a few paps follow him. After all, we haven't seen him on TMZ in at least--what is it?-- three days.

19. You have no right to use the police this way. You sure treat people badly, spitting on them etc. You could be yesterdays news real fast, unless you get over the movie star antics. One of these days someone is going to show your (future) children photo's of you doing these things. You will regret doing that then; your girlfriend has two kids, I bet her kids hear people talking about it. It has to embarrass them. Grow up .

26. If Paps keep speeding and running red lights trying to get footage and pics someone is eventually going to get in a serious accident and tabloid media have an obligation to make sure the people they purchase photos from do not have major violations the same way other companys do.
How many times have you seen numerous cars run red lights chasing celebrities.
It is wayyyyyyy out of control and the police should set up stings with celebrities giving them their routes on occassion.
Get those crazy people off the road who act like getting a picture of a celebrity is worth risking human lives.
If someone having three beers and driving to get a burger is so serious surly someone running red lights at high speeds chasing them is worse.

27. Jake is a big cry baby and whoose. He only wants the attention when he is promoting his movies, other than that he wants to be left alone. What a loser he is turning out to be. I say don't go see anymore of his lame movies ever again.

28. Jake G is a d**k. That sourpuss Reese Whatsherspoon must be having an effect on him. He may be good looking but hasn't made movies of quality or success to warrant this kind of behavoiur.

30. LAPD says that people need only to make complaints about being followed by the stalkarazzi. That's good. The problem is that many people are ambivalent about their stalkers because they recognize that in times of need, the stalkers can help get their image back out in the mass mind. Usually these are the people who have doubts about their own talents and skills. The complication is that if one person makes too much of a huff about the stalkers, others in the community could start to shun them or treat them like traitors. The community as a whole is somewhat dependent on them. They are basically free advertising. As well, they can always be used as a scapegoat and as a source of attention while maintaining plausible deniability on any reports made; nonetheless, the attention has been produced.

Being followed is always bad. The ones who act like it is not a problem likely have serious internal issues.

This is a classic case of bullying. I'm going to bully you and if you don't take it, I'll abuse you more.

It would be good to see more people stand up together against this institutionalized stalking.

This is not an issue about fame. It is an issue about money. Human beings being marketed for profit and all of the corruption that goes along with big profit corporations.

Fame will be changing its face in the future.
