Claudia Jordan to Miss Cali:

Work That Gay Room

4/20/2009 7:13 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Miss USA judge Claudia Jordan tells us Miss California Carrie Prejean didn't play to her audience when she said "Marriage should only be between a man and a woman."

Claudia says, "She should have known her audience better. There's only like five straight guys in the audience at the pageant." You gotta love Claudia!

Launch photosThe former Briefcase #1 model on "Deal or No Deal" says, "I don't agree with what she said, but I don't think she's evil."

And we saved the best for last: "I've been in pageants, and I've been on TMZ, so I know what it's like when you screw up what you meant to say." First of all, love the honesty, Claudia. Second of all, exactly what part did Carrie misspeak?

Left wingers can't be Fascists or Nazis by definition, so choose another adjective or noun. Freedom of speech is one thing, but freedom of speech can not be allowed to ride roughshod over the rights of citizens to live free of discrimination. Not everyone adopts the Bible as their religious tract, if indeed they should choose one, so don't invoke it to criticise others. Lastly, Perez Hilton may be annoying and talentless, but how exactly is a beauty queen different?

Sorry, it's not about the honesty, not about the belief, not about gay outrage.

Review the answer. She was nervous, she stammered, she stubbled over her words. Finishing second was actually better than she deserved, quite honestly.

Making this a controversy only extends her time in the limelight and make a name for herself that she otherwise didn't make that night.

you have to admit that it is spooky how this has become a right to belief issue.

wasn't the question about having rights to a belief in the first place?

A biblically correct answer does not necessarily make a correct answer; but a constitutionally correct answer would be.

Besides, it's not the content of the answer, but how you answer. She was flustered.

What she is doing now is trying to be the next Elizabeth Hasselbeck. A no talent looking for a niche.

I think it is wonderful that Miss California stood up for her beliefs even though she must have known it would cost her the crown. I also think it is deplorable that she was stripped of her crown just for stating her opinion. There have been girls with horrible moral judgment that have been allowed to keep their crowns and Carrie was stripped of hers for having morals and an opion that differed from those of the liberals? What a horrible example to our young people today, you can drink and strip in front of cameras and do drugs and still be held in high esteem but dont you dare voice a moral belief on national tv, you will be ripped to shreds. What has America come to? Carrie a appplaude you for standing up for what you believe in!
