17. She looks upset. It must be overwhelming for her, all this attention. Who cares what she looks like! She has a voice that gives me goosebumps. Give her time to adjust.

18. sad....not upset.....maybe she's sad because her mum wanted her to finally be able to take the chance with her talent....but her mums not here now to share this new part of her life with. and nothing in this world can change that....
those kind of thoughts would make this kind of woman look this sad

21. She sets a good example. Maybe TMZ should go to church. Remember What goes around comes around. If someone deserves criticism for what they do, that's ok, but if they haven't done anything wrong, then be careful that judgment doesn't come back to bite you.

22. A gift to us all - we should all step back to see the courage combined with such humility, that makes one person reach out and touch so many millions. Do we have to be anything more than this - do we have to have a dream - or do we have to know we are living the dream.... Thankyou, that;s all, to an inspirational person who can remind each one of us of the joy and courage, the fun and strength, the possibilities that lie within us all...

There is nothing like the gift of choice - Susan chose to take the step, make the choice... in doing so, she has reminded us all, in a deep and not often shared place, that we value those virtues of courage, tenacity, humility and most of all - the gift of a smile to your fellow man (woman) -

So - go well, go wisely, go cautiously - yet with a sense of adventure; embrace the good and discern the not so good. Stand by your values and keep singing for us all - keep singing the songs with a smile!

Your genuine smile has no $$ value - it's priceless!

Whatever hapens - you have already won!

, go with values that you have leanred are important over the ast half century, treasure them, protect them

23. Hmmmm....which corner am I in? The woman with real talent?

Or some short little balding guy who can do no better than interviewing "the man on the street" on The People's Court and guesting on Larry King Live to give legal analysis when he gave up his license to practice years ago?

Yeah, THERE'S real talent for ya.

24. The Scottish are very taciturn people. Might be something to do with the tough weather and strict religion. Don't expect her to be all giggles and smiles. They're much too hard core for that...

25. She looks just like an average Joe, but I bet in less than 6 months she will get a complete makeover and wardrobe and will completely different.

She is refreshing plus her voice is beautiful. You go Susan!

26. She looks like a normal middle-aged woman here. Leave her alone, she's got a lot more to offer the world than a bunch of gossip reporters.

29. After reading the comments on TMZ, I have come to realize what I was always told as a child was wrong. It matters what is on the inside, not what is on the outside. I am glad this heaven sent voice reminded some selfish, shallow, and vain people that everyone has value, and deserves respect.
As for makeovers, let her be, who she is, not who you want to make her.

30. I will bet her 15 minutes is about over.... another "sensation" will pop up in a week, and she is through.
