Usher is not from Atlanta, he was born and raised in Chattanooga(where most of his family still lives) he only claims to be from Atlanta since that is the only street cred he can come by with his pretty boy goody two shoes act.

Obviously he'd root for the team he co-owns because that would make him more richer if his team is successful.
