'Lost' Star Sued for Sexual Harassment

Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond on the show "Lost," is being sued for sexual harassment.

According to a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Chelsea Stone claims that while working on the show, Cusick placed his hand on her buttocks and caressed the back of her body while making moaning sounds.

She also claims Cusick "placed his face on top of [her] breasts, moving his face from side to side." He then squeezed her breasts with his hands.

According to the lawsuit, approximately twelve days after this went down, Stone was let go. ABC and Grass Skirt Productions are also named as defendants. She is seeking unspecified damages.

Cusick's rep had no comment.

61. I don't get these "women" who are saying "oh, I'd pay to have him do that to me, OMG, take a pill" It's people like you that give good girls a bad rep. I don't care how good looking a man is I am not here for any jackass to come feel me up just cuz he likes what he sees, I don't care if he's a celeb, the President, or some multi-billioinnaire oil tycoon Sultan from Saudi Arabia, I am a Person first and I have never thought so little of myself that I think I should be greatful if some pervert feels me up WITHOUT my permission and I certainly would not stand there which it seems this "Chelsea must of done or it couldn't have escalated like it seems to have. If she didn't like it, why, OH WHY, did she stand there and let him do it? I would have assaulted him back and while he was counting his fingers I'd kick him in his little nut sack. Maybe that would cool his heals. But hey "OSAMA" you are obviously just a pig who would do the same thing to girls if you could get close enough to them without them breaking out into a cheetah run, you sound bitter, sayin oh, she just mad cuz he didn't lick her "Hot Socket" ???? Is that the best you can come up with? GROW THE F UP! And "Heather" you are a dumb ho.

62. Those bimbos writing here that this esshole is welcome to harass them make me ashamed to be a woman. It is because of those idiots that men think we enjoy being harassed. No man will ever get away with touching me - accidentally or not. My body belongs to me and I have respect for it, therefore, stay away from me harassers of the world. And please you bimbos shut your mouth, you are a nuisance to womankind. Beat it, get lost, you get the general idea.

63. Instead of just simply admitting that we don't know who was in the right or wrong, everyone is blaming this Chelsea Stone. How typical. When it comes rape or sexual harassment, let's blame the woman. Especially if the accused is a celebrity. No wonder this is a screwed up society.

65. "He placed his face on her breasts and moved it back and forth". Ahh, the "motorboat" move...that'll cost him an extra $20,000 per breast.

66. This happened in 2007? And it is now 2009. Something smells fishy here. If this is a credible allegation, why wait so long to press charges? Makes me wonder if she realized how vital his character is to LOST now and that ABC might pay a lot of money to get her to back off.

67. Everyone in Ian's Hawaiian hometown knows what a nice, gentlemanly guy he is. His wife is funny and beautiful, and both are devoted to their children. They are kind, compassionate, ethical people, and I think it's just sick that they have to go through this. Be careful throwing stones before all the facts are out.

68. Many of you people seriously lack any real knowledge about sexual harassment. Women are NOT overly sensitive or likely to make up stories. In fact, an EXTENSIVE amount of research shows that women tend to remain silent about sexual harassment regardless of how offensive they find the behavior. Why? Read the story and the posted comments and you'll understand. The woman reported the situation and got treated with hostility from her colleagues then got fired. Now she has to get harassed by the public with most people treating her as if she's the problem. Why didn't she stop him? First, she was probably stunned by his behavior and took her a minute to get out of shock. Second, she would have been worried about the repercusions of stopping the man - who as a star of the show has lots of power. Also, he could have become more forceful, if she had fought him. Happens all the time. Why did she wait to file a suit? Well, the process takes time and often women first try to put the situation behind but it won't go away. They experience emotional pain and often have problems finding work in their field because "the word gets out." I understand men's lack of support for Stone, but women, really, what's your problem. Sexual harassment is a serious problem - not a joke and no matter how attractive a man is, it's not a pleasant experience.

69. To: Tired of Stupidity

Your comments are valid and I'm sure correct but there are people here that know Ian, personally, and knowing him is not the same as liking him, being attracted to him or siding with him for his celebrity status. He is simply not the kind of man that would do this. There is no way to put it more plain. He simply is NOT this kind of person.

70. To a friend
I did not intend to imply that he's guilty. I believe it's equally wrong to bash him or assume he's guilty. My point was that people should not immediately assume that the woman is a liar, whore and money-grabber. Responses like that discourage women AND men from reporting situations that should never be left unaddressed. People who do not have direct knowledge of the persons involved or the situationshould simply should hold their judgment and wait for more facts.

71. I believe everyone is innocent until proven guilty. From what I've heard from interviews and other sources it doesn't sound like something he would do, but honestly I don't know he could do something like this because I don't know him personally. Sexual Harassment is a crime and should be handled as if he wasn't a celebrity. I'm going to admit that I think he is innocent, and also he's one of my favorite characters on the show. I think he's a very brilliant actor.

72. Even if you know him personally, it does not mean you know what he is like behind closed doors. I think everyone should stop accusing this girl of lying until they get a better idea of what happened.

73. I get the feeling that since Chelsea was the one let go and not Ian. They felt she wasn't being truthful perhaps. I haven't heard anything else about this, but I wonder how it panned out.
