62. Ok free speech is important, blah blah blah. But when free speech infringes on the rights of others, ESPECIALLY in the public eye where millions of people were watching, that's where it gets wooky. When you use your beliefs to preach to people, your words can/are influencing and reinforcing (in this case) discriminatory views. Say whatever the crap you want in the comfort of your own home, to your friends and family, whatever you want in your personal life. But to say CRAP like this with millions of people watching, many of whom are gay, then yeah. Go home. AND no one seems to remember the fact that she WASN'T WINNING even before she made these comments. So her opinion didn't really matter that much anyway, she still would've lost. And to say that she's biblically correct - well, the Bible has lots of inconsistencies and contradictions so I don't know how great of a justification that is. Ps. to all those people who are getting mad at those don't agree with her opinion or are upset/saddened by her opinion, well that is ALSO an opinion and in that case you're just as hypocritical.

63. what's funny about all this is it should never have been a big deal. she did what anyone with any character would have done in her situation: told the truth as she sees it. what made her worthy of a standing O is the ridiculous attack by the scumbag perez AND the classy way she has handled that attack.

liberals never seem to get it. when you viciously attack conservatives simply for having an opinion you only achieve two things: 1) you rally conservatives together, and 2) you cause moderates to lean more to the right.

How about if you work on the sabbath should you be put to death?
Using the bible to make an argument against homosexuality is just plain dumb. Read the bible and try to follow it to the letter and see where we would be.
