Hugh Jackman Drops $4300 on Breakfast

4/30/2009 3:15 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Hugh Jackman knows the best way to a fan's heart is through his or her stomach -- that's why he dropped $4308.87 to stuff 800 faces in Arizona.

Hugh Jackman

TMZ has obtained the receipt from Paradise Bakery in Tempe, Arizona -- where Jackman bought 67 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee for a pack of "Wolverine" fans who had camped out in front of a theater the day before Monday's big premiere.

Once Jackman heard about the fans, he promised to buy them breakfast and placed the order late Sunday. We're told Jackman wanted to keep the food order simple and bought platters of bagels, muffins, and croissants.

No word if Jackman left a tip -- we're gonna assume he did ... 'cause he can do no wrong.

Why would he leave a tip for takeout breakfast? You leave tips for waiter service...

Thank you Hugh Jackman, and all the cast, who attended the premiere in Arizona this past Monday. It was a huge success.

I've attended premieres in L.A. before, and while there is usually a good turnout and response, it also seems that some in attendance are a bit jaded. There is nothing unique or different about holding yet another premiere in Los Angeles.

On the other hand, the "X-Men: Wolverine" premiere was incredible. There were several thousand excited, screaming fans in attendance - many camped out overnight to be there. What happened in Arizona was a true EVENT.

Great job!

I guess that was his way of saying:

"Thanks for being one of the stupid schmucks who didn't take the liberty to download the entire movie in high quality 3 weeks before it's release from the comfort of their own home, rather, for loving my animalistic side and willing to pay the ridiculous cinema fees to get in, and, oh yeh, wait outside for days in a line just to be that stupid moron.

Let me repay you with a cup of coffee and a bagel. It's the least I could do :-)"

Miss Miss asked who else would do something like this.

Infact many celebrities. Jay Leno is well known for helping out people. George Clooney once gave a homeless guy a wad of hundreds as he was passing. Brad Pitt is in Aftrica walking the streets and helping pass out food and vaccine.

You really need to stop your hero worship and realize that Celebrities have to step up to the plate for the most part and not just one does this. Kudos to Hugh Jackman, however he is by far from the only one to show some sort of giving.

damn shame that there aren't more people like this. Most celebrities would rather buy houses with rooms they will never go in, or cars they will never drive, then to do something simple for the people that are the reason they are famous or rich in the first place.
