David Hasselhoff's Weekend -- The Real Story

David HasselhoffWe've gotten to the bottom of the David Hasselhoff mystery, and it ain't the way his ex is painting it.

Here's what we know. This past Saturday, David was at home with his daughter Hayley and there was a squabble. David had been drinking but nowhere near the level that his ex is painting it. The Hoff had not been feeling well, and the illness, combined with the alcohol, made a trip to the hospital prudent.

David walked to the car, where he was driven to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He had not passed out, contrary to reports. He walked on his own power and was released yesterday.

Hasselhoff is fine, though he regrets drinking.

Bottom line -- David's ex, Pamela Bach, is on the warpath and her story just doesn't ring true.

31. As a recovering alcoholic it saddens me that the Hoff (or anyone) can't 'get it'. Alcohol is a death sentence for people like us. And it's a family disease. I feel certain his ex continues to be very angry and hurt. I hope she's reached out to AlAnon. As for the 16 yr old, well, let's all say a prayer she doesn't follow in his foot steps.

Prayers for all who just can't stop the insanity.

32. I completely agree they're all going to laugh at you. I don't have one shred of sympathy for Hoff, because his teenage daughters are being FORCED into being HIS mother. He doesn't WANT to stop drinking, he feels he can COVER IT UP, and let the poor girls have to clean up the mess and keep his secrets, slap him to keep him alive. That is just an unconscionable thing to do to teenagers. Those poor kids will need therapy for YEARS thanks to the "Dad" who wants to be the kid, and doesn't want to quit drinking, and take responsiblity for his acts, and be a parent to THEM.

33. Well David Hasselhoff couldn't have been too messed up on Saturday because on Sunday he showed up for the Gumball 3000 rally.

The "Hoff" was in a very nice Porsche that was modified by bbi for $100k ;)

35. I feel for the teen daughters. Both of the parents have an alcohol problem. The Hoff and his Ex... both. The attention is obviously on the Dad, but the Mom also has a problem with alcohol.

36. TMZ ....Another enabling LIE! What a sad mess this is. Im sure Hoff was intoxicated to poisoning levels...most alcoholics experience it quite frequently. Someone PAID for positive PR control! Hoff is nothing more than an OVER PAID ALCOHOLIC / WANNA BE WHO NEEDS SEVERE REHAB....A MALE ANNA NICOLE SMITH!

38. How interesting - I added a different version of this story from RadarOnline which quite clearly disputed TMZ's version. TMZ first posted my posting then pulled it! Frankly, sounds like TMZ is full of crap in its version. Hasselhoff seems to have a really BAD drinking problem. Why is TMZ enabling him? A .3 could put a person in a coma. So if Hasselhoff logged in at .39 he was in a seriously bad way. Stop trying to cover for him and let him take the fall. He can't get well if he won't hit bottom first.

39. Why is it ALWAYS seems to be 'no big deal' when David drinks himself into oblivion???? Why does everyone believe David's side? His alcoholism has put his family in danger more than a few times. He needs to have a court order saying she can't talk to the press. BECAUSE HE'S ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING WRONG!!! No one would have to talk to anyone if he would just STOP drinking. If HIS version is accurate, why doesn't he provide the ACTUAL blood alcohol levels...the only problem is that David's money hungry attorneys will just put out more lies. I realize they are doing their blood sucking job, but they are the MASTERS OF SPIN!!

40. Apparently the majority of you who've responded have NO clue about alcoholism. It's not a matter of will power. Maybe he does WANT to stop drinking. Guess what? That's what alcoholics DO, they DRINK!

Alcoholism is a DISEASE. It's not about being a bad person who needs to be good, it's about a person with an illness who needs to get well and guess what else? Not all who NEED it, want it nor do they get it.

If you don't know what you don't know, the shut the hell up!!!
