33. This is ridiculous. The question should never have been asked, but she answered in her honest opinion. It should have ended there. She dragged it out and made it a holy war and Perez made it an issue. The crusade is not part of being Miss California and should not be carried on. She has a right as a private citizen to go out and campaign against or for anything she chooses, but not as Miss California. She should either stop talking publicly or give up her title and become a spokesperson for marriage. She can not do both while representing the State of California.

I believe a marriage consist only between a man and woman. Let it be known that I don't care if you do take offense to it. As a matter of fact, take offense. There is no coincidence that this question was asked to a woman who attended a christian school, from the state of California....by a homosexual man. Perez should keep his mouth shut and stop making a beauty contest a political issue. She isn't the President, representing the U.S.. She should either give up her title and then go around speaking at functions or stop talking until her title goes to next years winner of Miss California. They are both wrong for what they are doing.
