Brooke Shields -- Kiefer's No Hero

Brooke Shields and Kiefer SutherlandBrooke Shields is squaring off against Kiefer Sutherland ... and it's getting ugly fast.

Shields' reps tell TMZ the man Kiefer headbutted Monday night in no way did anything to Brooke that would have warranted the alleged attack.

As we reported, witnesses say Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough knocked Brooke to the ground at an after-party for the Met Costume Institute Gala in NYC Monday night. But Brooke's rep says "nothing happened to her," adding "Jack did nothing inappropriate. It's not clear what caused Kiefer to do what he did."

Witnesses say Kiefer went up to Jack and demanded he apologize to Brooke. Jack allegedly pushed Kiefer and Kiefer then headbutted Jack.

But Brooke's reps tell us Jack, who designs clothes for Brooke, "did absolutely nothing to her."

Launch PhotosBut here's where the plot thickens. We asked the rep, "Did Jack touch her?" Their response -- "We don't know."

We're told Brooke will be interviewed by cops Wednesday.

47. Sounds like Brooke is more interested in protecting her designer friend than a man who stepped in to protect her. In this I say Kiefer did the right thing and Brooke is only protecting her friend for free clothes I guess. If Jack can push Kiefer he can definatly push Brooke. Drunk or not Kiefer was in the right and Jack pushed him first.

My ancestors came to Boston in 1634 and left for Canada in 1746 and I am thankful . Canada is a much better country to live in for many reason beside our medicare system which by the way Keiffer Sutherland grandfather T. Douglas brought medicare in. We don't worship or care about celebrities like you do. Also you tend to forget that the world does not begin and end at your borders. 60. I've always thought highly of Brooke Shields, but no more. How dare she be so uncaring as to blame Kieffer when he was only trying to protect her. She is so ungrateful and obviously narcissistic. I think her popularity will be in the dumptster if she testifies against one of America's best loved actors for being gallant.

By the way, the picture of the guy that was allegedly headbuttted, didn't look too damaged. Shame on you Brooke. You obviously enjoyed preening for the camera at the event. Don't ever compain about the paparrazi or anyone else getting in your space again. You are officially off my list and I hope many others.
