Manny Ramirez to be Suspended 50 Games

Manny RamiezManny Ramirez has tested positive for performance enhancing drugs and will be suspended without pay for 50 games, the LA Times is reporting.

The Los Angeles Dodgers star is the most prolific player to be suspended by MLB since it began testing in 2003.

The paper is reporting Manny will attribute the positive test result to "medication received from a doctor for a personal medical issue."

According to the report, Manny stands to lose about $7.7 million.

The Dodgers currently have the best record in baseball.

17. Oh, no. Not Manny. He was the pudgy guy with the quirky personality that got by on obnoxiousness and raw talent. Not roids. Los Dodgers are finished. Their respect is gone. Pretty soon their numbers in the W column will be too. Looks like the curse of the traded star catchers, Piazza and LoDuca, remains intact.Too bad.

I think you yourself need to re-read what you wrote because you seem very uneducated yourself. I am a very intelligent woman married to the same man I have a child with, and live in a very nice house. So I think you need to shut your mouth, you racist a-hole. As far as Manny is concerned he screwed up, they will over come it, because the Dodgers have some really great players this year.

20. How is A-Rod worse than Manny in this situation?? A-Rod's use was BEFORE it was against the rules whereas Manny was using PEDs knowing they were banned and what the consequences were. This wole "doctor's prescription" excuse is BS. He knew what he was doing and I'm sure he was using when he was with Boston too.

24. Guess Manny won't be knocking down any old men in baseball for a while. That's too bad.

The Dodgers should also forfeit about 10 games. Or 20. Because of their cheater Manny.
He's suspended without pay. That's awesome. Too bad it wasn't for 100 games. They give that for the second offense.

I'm willing to toss him out and call him a three time loser though. Because this way he'll never throw an old man to the ground again because he can't get more free tickets. Jerkoff.

LA fans ain't that bad. They may be uneducated and now they will have more time to gangbang down at Venice Beach and other places since they won't go to more games. So it's really a win-win for society.

28. The suspension is without pay per MLB rules. But hey Johan Santana is piching awesome, and it's a great new stadium.
