Schimmel's Wife: You Hit Me, I Divorce You

Five days after he allegedly beat her, comedian Robert Schimmel's wife is pulling the plug on their marriage.

TMZ has learned Melissa Schimmel has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

She's asking for spousal support and sole physical custody of their 2 minor children, along with child support.

Interestingly, she says the couple separated on the day they got into the fight.

Schimmel was arrested at his Calabasas home early Sunday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence.

32. I also know the family well and Bob's wife is a pathological liar who revels in torturing the guy by carrying on with the neighbor and doing drugs with the guy...been going on for over a year...and the amazing thing is, the guy's wife is her good friend...she must really be blind.

33. Um...okay Kathy. I guess my point is invalidated because of spelling errors.

Why in the world would you stand behind the obvious inequality of spousal support? These are adults capable of providing for themselves, but for some reason it has gotten into your mind that these perfectly capable adults deserve money for having done nothing more than getting married. What?????

I could very well be wrong about you, but you strike me as a person who either receives spousal support or is hoping to one day. Why should you deserve a dime of your spouse's future earnings? Because you were married and enjoyed a life that you were incapable of obtaining on your own?

Believe me or not, I am not married nor have I ever been. I am not bitter because I was taken to the cleaners, I'm bitter because ex spouses are undeserving of future earnings.

36. First of all, his soon to be ex-wife was never his daughter's friend, she was her boss in Phoenix. Also, now that photos of ROBERT show he was beaten to a pulp and the little lady has NO MARKS on her... you'll see how quickly this story reverses!
