47. I can somewhat understand how blacks came be easily influenced into thinking these remarks are acceptable since they were so badly decriminated against for such a long time. But it's not acceptable. It's time for all people to be treated equally and racial prejudicy to stop. We have a player named Dustin Byfuglien and he is of African American descent. He's a great player and the fans love him. How many black people play hockey??? 56. I didn't take a whole lot of offense to what he said. I think he was just farting around. Although it was probably a little rough around the edges. Terms like discrimination and racist are way over used. Everyone is discriminate. It is totally natural to view people who have drastically different physical features and cultures from you differently. For the most part, people feel more comfortable around thier own kind. Racist is when you overtly refer to someone of a different ethnic group as being less superior because of their heritage. I don't think that's what he was doing although his comments were a little inappropriate.
