Don't worry, Tiger Girl, aka Avery, is safe -- she's actually protected by a thick pane of glass ... and her nerves of steel.
This took place about five miles from my house at Port Defiance Zoo in WA. This youngster and the little girl were never going to get face to face and from the article I read, Avery was standing by the window that separates the habitat from the crowds to have her picture taken by her father when the cub (he's just within his first two years of life) decided to take interest in the girl. One thing we have to remember is animals are far more compassionate than humans by nature. He was curious but not in a predatory manner. She was a still object against his immediate environment and was more than likely curious. Avery's ability to remain cool and collected was to her benefit because it didn't cause a negative predatory response like it would have if she had screamed or balked. These pictures would have been very different then. How do I know? Animal behaviorist - that's how.
All due respect, if a toddler is smart enough to read, chances are she's nort reading TMZ (unless it's behind her parents' backs).

Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
