Miss USA -- Not All Topless Photos Are Equal

There's another reigning beauty queen who took some very topless photos before she won her pageant -- but unlike Carrie Prejean, Miss Rhode Island USA's crown was never ever in jeopardy.



According to Alysha Castonguay, she dropped her top for a Maxim magazine shoot and a few swimsuit calenders way before her competition -- but there was no controversy over the pics because they were all seen and approved by the Miss USA pageant officials.

But Alysha tells TMZ she feels for Miss Cali saying, "I personally believe this situation is stemming from the controversy over her opinion and not a photo."

The final decision on dethroning Carrie Prejean is still being deliberated by the Miss USA and Miss California officials.

31. I’m glad that things turn out so quickly that we all can see some negative qualities that Miss Carrie Prejean has. She definitely does not have the qualities that a Miss California is expected to have. So, she should resign and let someone else who is more suitable to carry the duties of Miss California at this point. No need to defense her anymore!!!

Lets see... they have a swim suit competition that leaves little to the imagination, then tell the contestants they can't pose almost the same way. I'm all for people having there own opinions but the fact that we're expected to be tolerant of these intolerant right wing nutjobs is beyond me. Its a recipe for disaster, circa 1932. I love the extremists attempts to twist things too - heterophobia, extreme liberals....you can try and change the argument but you'l fail. its inevitable. being hateful (and make no mistake that exactly what alot of people on this board are being) and against gay rights puts you on the wrong side of history...bitter pill to swallow i know but you have to realize that...

36. Seems that Miss California answered with her opinion. Who says we all have to agree with her? Should be how she presented her opinion, not what the opinion was. She is being harassed because some people don't agree with her. This country should be all about getting along and respecting others, not necessarily agreeing with them. And if MIss Rhode Island's pictures are alright, what is different about Miss California's? Both look like a typical cheesecake photo shoot to me ...

37. 4. The difference is that Carrie Prejean is a dumb bitch who showed her titties and lied about it. Alysha Castonguay showed her titties, but didn't lie about it. So Alysha has honest titties and Carrie don't.

Power Lesbian, either you are a bold faced liar or you just don't know all of the information. I would hope it is the later. Carrie Prejean did not "show her titties". You could only see the sides of them, just like you can when she and every other woman is wearing a bikini top.

38. get over yourselfs people the majority of americans believe as carrie does that is why we have the laws we do .she has a right to speak what she believes and not be treated the way she has been .the gay rights groups have a right to there believes as well but they have proven to be bullies and have not shown anything except childishness and intollerance .which is surprising since they have had to deal with intolerance .their actions have made my believe stronger .

40. One was upfront and shows the pagent officials the photos and was approved to compete, one LIED and made a fuss about her morals only to be caught in that lie and look even worse. Rules are rules.. one of these girls is a liar and hypocrite one was truthful and honest.

41. I don't think the issue is about the pictures themselves so much as that she lied about them. Then when she was caught in her lie, she continued to lie further and say there were no more.

Say what you will about whether it's a conservative or liberal thing, but I personally think it's a deception thing. Nobody likes being lied to, especially not by someone who is building her fame under a flag of self-righteous "morality." The only thing worse than a liar is a hypocrite, and that makes people angry.

Miss Castonguay was honest. That's the difference between her and Prejean. And that difference in basic integrity is the thing that I find to be more worthy of stripping her crown over than the photos themselves. Prejean's just going to have to lay in the bed she made for herself. Hope she learns something.

45. Well, hmm, hers were seen and approved, so I take it she did not lie about them, therefore, that is why she wasn't disqualified? I still don't like it, to me they're semi-nude pics. However, for me it all boils down to not lying as I've said all along with Carrie, she lied!!! Broke her contract. Fire her.
