Miss USA -- Not All Topless Photos Are Equal

There's another reigning beauty queen who took some very topless photos before she won her pageant -- but unlike Carrie Prejean, Miss Rhode Island USA's crown was never ever in jeopardy.



According to Alysha Castonguay, she dropped her top for a Maxim magazine shoot and a few swimsuit calenders way before her competition -- but there was no controversy over the pics because they were all seen and approved by the Miss USA pageant officials.

But Alysha tells TMZ she feels for Miss Cali saying, "I personally believe this situation is stemming from the controversy over her opinion and not a photo."

The final decision on dethroning Carrie Prejean is still being deliberated by the Miss USA and Miss California officials.

46. I have thought Perez was out of line this entire time. How can you go around saying you want equality when you have bashed that poor girl so badly for HER OPINIONS???? He has publicly ruined that girls career because she stated her own mind. He has been all over talking about being equal and fair to everyone, but has talked so terrible about this girl. So sorry she doesn't believe the way you do--the last time I checked we lived in AMERICA-and can have our own opinions.

48. Welcome to the new US politics -- Tyranny of the Viscious Minority. They use the most vile personal attacks to push an agenda then retreat behind a veil of "political correctness" where any individual rebuttals are deflected as attacks on the minority itself.

The only group totally without representation is women -- because those that claim to represent them really are fronts for others with different agendas. That's why you see not one "women's organization"'s voice yelling that a woman is being vilified because she is a woman. Where is the female equivalent of Al Sharpton?

50. Will everyone saying they are heterophobes? No one is a heterophobe in this case and these accusations are unfounded. Really, if you want to argue, make legitimate points instead of throwing hate propaganda out there.

As for the photos, there is a distinct difference. This girl did not lie, Carrie did. Also, the photos themselves are very different. These were done for modelling. The same cannot be definatively said about Carrie's, which appear to have been taken in a bathroom. Not only that, but Carrie lied about the presence of more as well as her age(its been revealed several times that she was definately over 18 in them), setting this situation apart. If she was truthful and these were real modelling pictures, of course it would be a completely different matter, but they look more like a boyfriend took them in her home and she's trying to hide them by pretending she was a minor(which, if she was, the authorities would be all over this, but they aren't). This has nothing to do with her opinion, it is just one of the ways that she broke her contract and they have every right to examine her crown status because of them. Its her own fault for making herself such a big deal, causing whoever possessed these pictures(once more, I suspect a boyfriend) to release them. If they came out before the opinion, her crown would still be in jeopardy, which appears to be something everyone has forgotten.

52. Nice try. First of all "I personally believe" is pageant speak for "this was prepared for me beforehand." It's also repetitive...if you believe something, obviously it's a personal belief. Also, her answer (which I disagree with, but don't care too much about; I still think she lost because she's woefully inarticulate) has made her more visible and so has her own personal media campaign, which is apparently contrary to CA pageant policy. The difference between RI and CA is that CA lied about hers and she was underage. How are Christians NOT attacking her? I'm only casually Christian and I would be a little upset if my daughter had semi-nude pictures taken of her at 17.

53. I want someone on the left to explain to me why if someone doesn't agree with your leftist view they are wrong and a bigot. Why are we all supposed to have the same views? Perez can spout hateful speech and no one blasts him on it. This is just so very wrong. And who continues to amaze me is that the left just can't see the injustice of it. 58. I am a gay male but I feel Miss Prejean should not be stripped of her title because of her opinion even if I don't agree with her stance on gay marriage. She is entitled to her own opinion. I for one think that Perez is an embarassment for the gay community because he is so childish and he is a bully. I don't like that the media has made him the defacto voice of the gay community because Perez does not speak for me!
