Shanna Moakler -- I Can't Stomach That No Mo

Shanna MoaklerOh the irony. Shanna Moakler just resigned as pageant director for the Miss California USA pageant, after Donald Trump told the world how Shanna and crew have mended fences with "biblically correct" Miss California USA Carrie Prejean. Just another one of those pesky lies.

Here's the statement Shanna released to Us Magazine:

"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization.

I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth. I want to be a role model for young women with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams."

Launch PhotosShanna sat on that stage all smiles just 24 hours ago. Those phony smiles -- just something you learn and never forget when you're a Miss USA.

64. I'm with # 12 Vee on this one..... Have people lost their minds??? Beauty pageants are filled with the most vacuous people on earth. I mean when contestants are asked a serious questions we are amazed if she comes out with something even halfway intelligent. Their talent is simple winning a genetic lottery. If people look to beauty pageant winners for guidance then their parents have miserably failed in their job.

67. Shanna Moakler a ROLE MODEL!!?? This has to be the joke of the century. Didn't we all WATCH as she slept her way through each and every day, not even getting up to take care of her children? Hasn't her husband publicly talked about what a ROTTEN mother she is. and how HE has to take their kids to school because of her lazy a$$? Hasn't she slept with any man who has more than $5 in his pocket and therefore might be a new potential meal ticket? Didn't she drop ALL of her clothes (unlike cCarrie) just because someone offered to pay her? Wasn't she fighting in the street over a man who dumped her? Where were her ROLE MODEL aspirations then? 69. Shanna Moakler? Yes Sir, there's a role model for the beauty, brains, and all around wholesomeness of a Miss California that's for sure. She's right though, well she should be a role model for her children. She can home school them in Art and English simultaneously by showing them her very own "spread" in Playboy. There ya go Shanna! You made a good decision at this point with the organization. However, it's individuals like yourself that raise the bar and commit to those standards. I think your participation will be missed and that they have lost a valuable and intelligent member of this organization. You are exactly what they need to turn things around and keep the integrity going! It sucks you are leaving. I hope you rethink your position and go back if things resolve to your specifications! Please keep this in mind and remember all the great things you do as a role model for these young pageant contenders!
