Farrah Fawcett TV Special - Suit Alleges Threats

Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'NealThe man who claims to be responsible for the Farrah Fawcett documentary that will air on NBC tomorrow night is suing Ryan O'Neal and others, claiming he was aced out of the project and O'Neal "physically threatened him."

Craig Nevius claims in his lawsuit he made a deal with Farrah back in 2004 to chronicle her life in a documentary called "Chasing Farrah." That project aired.

Nevius claims he then worked with Fawcett for two years on the current project. But the defendants -- notably Ryan O'Neal and Alana Stewart (Rod's ex) -- "began to take actions to wrongfully interfere with Nevius's contractual relationship with Ms. Fawcett..."

The suit claims in September, 2008, O'Neal contacted Nevius and demanded he relinquish control of the company that was producing the project -- Sweetened By Risk (SBR). The suit claims, "When Nevius respectfully declined, O'Neal physically threatened him." We spoke with Nevius by phone -- he said "Ryan threatened to kill me" during a telephone call.

The suit goes on ... On April 3, 2009, Stewart contacted Nevius and said Farrah "wasn't doing well" and wouldn't officially sign the deal with him -- even though Nevius says she had agreed to it.

The suit claims Farrah's business manager -- defendant Richard Francis -- misrepresented the project with NBC and then "made additional threats of physical violence against Nevius."

Launch photosNevius is suing for a declaration from the court that he has a binding deal to manage the project. He's also suing for damages.

UPDATE 1:34 ET We spoke with Paul Bloch, the rep for Farrah, Ryan and Alana. He told us, "I am shocked by this type of behavior. Here's a woman who everyone knows has been ill and to do something like this is horrific." Bloch adds, "This has been a very difficult time for Ryan O'Neal. When you see something like this you have to question the motives of someone who can be so hurtful during this very sensitive time in a person's life."

62. You don't get more disgusting then this I cannot believe that this man ( word used loosely ) because a real man would not be taking these actions against a woman who is fighting cancer and her family and friends who have been by her side, what a slime ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

63. You all have it backwards. Ryan is the greedy opportunistic pig exploiting Farrah. If you all knew the real facts of this, your opinion would change completely. The man you are claiming is greedy and disgusting for suing is actually the ONLY person who has been protecting Farrah. Both Ryan and Alanna are making money and garnering sympathy for their own selfish reasons. Unfortunately their Hollywood PR people are quite good and powerful.

66. I don't see anything wrong with Farrah filming her journey with this horrible diesase. Thankfully, i've never had anyone that i've known have cancer. In a world of TMZ and other blogs where any mean spirted person can comment on anything, for Farrah to allow cameras filming her shaving her head and throwing up from treatment is courageous.

Cancer sucks, and I feel for anyone dealing with it.
Some comments here are just unreal. Just think if it was your mother or father dying of cancer.

Farrah is human being fighting to live, that alone deserves some respect

67. If she didn't sign 'the deal', then there is no deal!

Leave her and her loved ones alone.

Move on, vulture!

68. I did a movie called "Partners" with Ryan. 2 wks before filming I saw him at the 'car wash to the stars' on Santa Monica and I wanted to take a photo of him with Tatum. He exploded and went off on me verbally. During filming, Farrah would be on the set and they would argue daily. When she would storm off the set, he would retire to his trailer for the rest of the day. They were both high maintenance and big trouble for the crew. Griffin got busted for drugs during this time, and Tatum couldn't stand up at the wrap party. Dysfunctional...all of them.

69. Ryan O'Neal and Farrah's manager are playing sympathy card - notice they do not deny it. And wasn't Ryan just accused of sexual harrassment. So much for thinking of Farrah. Back when this project started, YEARS AGO, if there was a deal in place and the producer invested time and money and can prove it.- there is merit to this lawsuit...

70. Do you people read? Nevius is NOT SUING FARRAH!!! If you'd paid attention to anything in her life in the past year, you'd see that he's been her spokesperson... helping to fight the hospital for releasing her info to the Enquirer. Google Farrah Fawcett and see how many articles he appears in. Alana is a talentless hack whose only claim to fame is spreading her legs for two celebrities. O'Neal is an abusive asshole and meth convict who threw his own kids under the bus to save his tattered image. Ryan O'Neal was hit with a restraining order THREE DAYS AGO for harassing a 20-year-old woman. Sounds like he's really grieving over "the love of his life"...

71. It's sad that people are bickering over Farrah who hasn't even passed on (yet) - if anytime soon. It seems to me unless O'Neal has Fawcett's power of attorney he may not have any legal claim to this project. At least Farrah's story is being told which must be her ultimate wish. With that said, we all know of O'Neal's hot headedness. After all, he's not above busting his own son (Griffin) in the chops among other things. Finally, to the very first post: I'm so glad the only thing you could think of to say was "first bitches". How sad for you. You truly have no thoughts and/or opinions on this subject at all?

72. You people should remember that it took a heck of alot of courage for one of the world's most beautiful woman to be filmed and documented through this horrific ordeal. Just going through the chemo, radiation, procedures etc. with all the sides effects is a hero in my book Being filmed through all of this proves that she is actually more beautiful inside ( if that is possible) to be able to share and help others have a glimpse of how cruel cancer is. As for the person who commented that she should want to be remembered for the red bathing suit and not the cancer, the answer lies only within this true "Angel". No one can hold a candle to Farrah"s beauty, even ravished by this horrible cancer, she is still breathtakingly beautiful. I pray for her and her family The "Red" bathing suit will be fondly remembered by the boys of our generation but her "Red" badge of courage will be greatly admired by the men AND women of our generation . 73. O'Neal is the scum of the Earth! He should have been locked up long ago. He beats up and does drugs with his own children for Christ's sakes. Why shouldn't this guy sue him for threatening him? Ryan and Farrah have been pretty rotten to a lot of people!

74. I have followed this for a few weeks because I don't have a life, but I think Sam Malone's comments appear to be dead right on. If I was being threatened by Ryan, I would hire the Six Million Dollar Man to kick his ass! Factoring inflation, the Six Million Dollar Man is probably only worth a couple hundred thousand, but he could still kick Ryan's ass! Love ya Farrah! I am only a couple months behind you.

75. I don't know what kind of verbal agreement this guy thought he had, but based on the dates, Farrah probably also thought she was going to survive before those previous discussions dissolved and became moot.

I'd threaten you, too. Go away, bottomfeeder.
