Yawning, thanks for the advice! I am being picky, and hoping it pays off in the end :) I'd rather be single than in a miserable marriage, that's for sure! I can clearly see what type of woman you are describing and I guess I'm always trying to avoid them in life. My major barometer in deciding whether someone is friend material or not is how authentic and down-to-earth they are, intelligence, and self-assuredness. I don't care for the ones who always compare and try to impress, but, like you said, they're everywhere!
