Before wowing the "American Idol" judges with his shrieks and black nail polish, Adam Lambert glammed it up with shrieks and black lipstick.

Back in 2004, Lambert put on his best goth Liza drag performing in "The Zodiac Show."

Gerard Butler Charged with Crime

Gerard Butler has another notch on his belt, but this time it ain't a chick ...he's scored a criminal charge.

Butler has been charged with misdemeanor criminal battery in connection with a run-in with a photog on October 7, 2008. At 2 AM, after a premiere party for "RockNRolla," Butler left Crown Bar in a limo and allegedly popped a papper in the lips three or four times. The L.A. City Attorney filed the charge yesterday.

Butler's reps have said the papper had stalked the star, and chased people through the streets. The rep claims the papper almost killed a pedestrian.

If convicted, Butler could face up to 6 months in jail.

Butler is due in court for an arraignment on June 10.

Butler's lawyer, Blair Berk, declined comment.

Adam Lambert is a talented and artistic individual. The theater is nothing to scoff at. It takes charisma and talent to present a character on stage. To say such insulting things about him shows a lack of culture. You can't see the validity in his art form because you don't know what art is. Travel to a big city and see a play. Get out of your backwoods neighborhoods and go to an art festival. Do anything but advertise your ignorance. In the end it doesn't matter what you think; he's brilliant, beautful and will be richer and more famous than you will ever dream of.

I don't understand all the fuss. Adam is gay and I am pretty sure he would admit it. If people don't have a problem with him being gay and want to vote for him, that's fine. As or him being on Broadway, he has ALREADY been on Broadway twice. I think he wants to make it bigger than Broadway. My problem is not that he is gay but whether or not he can carry a fan base with people knowing that he is. I am not sure you can just call him gay I think some of his shows he is drag. But, so be it and I don't care what he is. I just don't think all those screaming young girls, women and guys will continue to support him and buy his CD's once he comes out. I think he has talent but I don't think the winner is JUST about singing. I think they should be able to sell themselves to everyone and become a star. For people who are ticked off about him being gay--I don't think they really care--it's just the same reason I think--can he get everyone to support him after Idol?

I love Adam, and hope he wins AI! So he's been in musical theatre - this has been known from the start of the competition. His dramatic style inspires a lot of emotion. From reading other comments, people either love him or hate him. The ignorant close-minded comments involving his sexuality are rather absurd. I guess not all of us are comfortable with those things which are unique and interesting even in this day and age! Sad!

Adam Lambert is an amazing singer and has the right to win American Idol. Sure i like Kris but, i heard Kris the other night and i thought he sounded like nickelback/daughtry. Kris is good, but Adma has mine /and/ Alices vote next Tuesday. So, if you only don't like him because he screams, then you have no taste. Adam rocks and even if he doesn't win he'll have a record deal.

To all of you who keep saying that Adam could be the next Elvis need to really cut it out because you know damn well that if Elvis could hear you he would turn over in his grave. I am not a homophobe by no means but (Adam is gay and a flamer) how can you compare that to Elvis Presley just because he wears weird black clothes,he sings nothing like Elvis and looks nothing like him and from what I remember (Elvis was not gay) and was not a fem or so please stop acting like Paula and cut the crap. I think Adam needs to go back to the theater and his local gay club where his drama and dragg shows are apreciated and let someone who really care about music and not popularity plus attention have a chance.

I think everyone is retarded for judging someone cus he's gay.. I am not a bit Adam fan but i have to admit he can sing.. i can do without all the screaming but even then he can rock... He puts on a great show and has a beautiful voice but i really like KRis Better just because thats my choice in music.. but i dont think you should judge adam cus he has done drag thats just ridiculous..

I'm disgusted at those of you that are so worried about him being gay or drag and think you people are completely ignorant! He is an ENTERTAINER!! TRUE ENTERTAINERS ...ENTERTAIN!!!! They are all talented but it seems to me all some of you care about is the fact that he's gay. I think it's rediculous. If he wasn't on AI & you just heard him on the radio you would appreciate his talent even if you weren't into that style of music....and if you can't appreciate talented artists that sing music that you may not be into; you shouldn't be watching the show in the first place! it's all about talent. Look at Gene Simmons and all the rockers from that time....maybe he will bring somthing new and hopefully he DOES win so some of you can open your eyes a little. I'm married with 2 kids and we like both Kris AND Adam....and Danny for that matter. i'm just appalled that all that's brought up is his sexuality. hope as my children get older they don't judge people based on their sexuality (or race for that matter) Get over it people!!!!! And as for the "screaming" ..... Hey it did wonders for Mariah!!!!!!! :)
