I Have to say that in her defense.. (Not that I like her but as a resident of Las Vegas.)
This was not entirely her idea. The Mayor of Las Vegas also participated in declaring summer a month
early here in Vegas. This was a publicity stunt (for lack of better term) to try and boost the Visitors and Convention Authorities
efforts to increase visitor traffic to Las Vegas.

Still shameless as it is.. It has many people talking about it.. And that is what they were trying to do.
