17. This guy is the greatest Olympian ever. Not only has he won more gold medals than anyone else in the history of the Olympics but he won the most gold in one Olympics(8) all this and he is a pot head, just imagine what he could do if he wasn't a head. Its a no wonder he needs to eat 15000 calories a day

LMAO, my, my, my I would have thought more of Carrie's supporters would have been in full dress contact gear here posting on Michael and how he's just a washed up gold medalist swimmer turned drug addicted pothead....oh that's right, they're probably either still in church or having after church Sunday brunch with cocktails---the legal drug. Aww Michael, you're a CHAMPION, you've got the gold, the stats and the records to prove it and hmm, when confronted about the pot smoking, I don't recall him lying about it (although I must confess I'm not sure if he came out and confirmed it either) and after all he was in his off season. Oh yes, Carrie supporters we know it's illegal, but you see, from my point of view, he's not a liar, he was not bound by a legal contract, he has not been implanted with any enhanced body parts (like your Carrie) by any contest he competed in, ugh no, he dedicated his mind, body and soul for years to his sport, countless hours upon hours, contest after contest after contest. Your Carrie is NOT IN THE SAME CLASS OR CATEGORY AS MICHAEL PHELPS, NOR WILL SHE EVER BE. (And I mean that is the most respectful way on Michaels side of the pool)

22. I love Michael Phelps!! He did make some stupid mistakes, but that doesn't change the fact he's still a great swimmer, really cute, and represented the USA in the last Olympics awesomely. Its time people forgive and forget, and remeber he's only human :)

26. Who cares if he won or lost a swiming competition? I can still respect Michael Phelps for his honors as a swimmer in the Olympics..

I respect the man,.. I don't respect the choices he's made. His body, his life to live... I could never hate the man, but I can always hate the drug. Pleasure drugs are just that "pleasure drugs".. they serve no other purpose than to "GET HIGH".. anyone that wants to ARGUE that FACT is merely excusing an ADDICTION!! As it is your own freedom to choose to use these pleasure drugs, it's my OPINION to believe that there is NOTHING TO BE GAINED by them! My body wasn't born with nor does it require any such chemicals. You respect my HEALTHY CHOICE, I respect YOU as a person- it's really very simple actually. That is the freedom of this nation that is slowly, and suttley being taken away from ALL of us.

29. I'm glad to see he's back in the water and training again. He's still the best and I'm hoping he's back for the 2012 Olympics. He'll only be in his mid to late 20's.
