Katy Perry's Cape Crusade -- The Coverup

Katy Perry crossed the line when she showed favoritism for "American Idol" favorite Adam Lambert last week -- and unless you DVR'd the live show, you'll never see her pink Glambert cape again.

If you go on iTunes and purchase Katy's performance from last week's "Idol", the closeup of her silk Glambert billboard has been altered -- you can't even tell there's writing on the cape.

The rest of the video is exactly the same -- we put the two different versions side-by-side so you can see.

Fox and iTunes both declined to comment.

Many in mid-America and other parts of this country who may not be necessarily anti-gay but have had it with this gay agenda being pushed down people's throat will not forgive the manipulation and heavy handness of AI and its guests unfortunate promoting this guy Lambert because he is gay. Your numbers were dropping before. Expect a noticeable drop should Lambert win. The question is 'who is the most talented', not who will appease a special group in the political spectrum. I heard both guys. One sings, the other screams. Who do you want in your IPod? In time, should this travesty occur, it will help sail AI right into cancellation. BTW. Simon know this.

66. Gay Hollywood agenda that most of us see through. Seriously, would you listen to Adam Lambert loudly with your windows rolled down? I would be very embarrased to have that screeching on my radio....ok to watch, but not for listening after one viewing, that is enough/ Kind of like a circus show.

69. Does anyone remember when Natasha Bedingfield was on the show and she skipped over and hugged David Archuleta? If that sorta thing is allowed, I don't get why people ride on Katy for being "inappropriate". It's not a federal election....

70. A cover up....how.....American. So Katy isn't allowed to express herself the same way as the rest of America? Including the Idol judges, who subtly or not-so-subtly direct opinion? Including the public, who can phone in and text for their fave idol as many times as they can get through and get counted? What's with all the outrage? She was just showboating, kinda what the whole Vegas thing is about....lighten up, peeps! I seriously doubt many viewers cast their vote based on whose name appeared on Ms. Perry's cape.

71. Yeah, it's altered, but that's because she wore that cape for the live show, and if you are buying it from iTunes, it wouldn't make sense because you would just see "Adam Lambert" written on her cape during her performance.
If you are suggesting it was editing onto the cape, it wasn't.
She mentioned that she's an Adam fan in some interview after the show.

HA!....Funny.....i'm in Latinamerica and i watch that show on Sony Entretaiment TV.....They put that off....i didn't see that....But anyway, i don't like Katy Perry so i wasn't payin' atention at all! She sucks, that girls doesn't sing, sucks dancin' and stuff, but so many people like her....that's one of the century's biggest question!!!

73. I like Katy and thought what she did was ballsy. During her performance I was trying to see if she actually had a pair - as far as I could tell and thankfully they were figurative and not literal balls.
