GF of Murderer Bobby Cutts Now Scared of Singer

Nikki Giavasis, TweetyThe woman who was the girlfriend of Bobby Cutts -- the Canton, Ohio cop who was convicted of murdering his wife and unborn child in 2007 -- is having fresh legal trouble with a former pop star.

Nikki Giavasis went to court May 11 and got a restraining order against Raphael Shawan Brown, a member of the singing group Next. The group charted big time with the song "Too Close" -- about a guy who popped wood on the dance floor and poked his partner.

Giavasis says last week, Brown tried entering the gate of her community in the San Fernando Valley, where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She says she broke up with Brown a year ago, but he's repeatedly harassed her, including allegedly breaking into her house. She tells us Brown has stolen her $700 shoes and a $1,000 handbag.

Giavasis tells us she invested in his group to the tune of $300,000. She says he wrote her a check to pay her back in that amount -- the memo line said "From God." But God didn't have enough money in his account and the check bounced.

Giavasis was romantically involved with Bobby Cutts in 1996. She says after they broke up he hounded her for 11 years, once trying to rip custody of her daughter away from her after she got a restraining order against him.

38. R.L. and Tweety Feud

The feud between R.L. and bandmate Raphael ("Tweety") Brown, who apparently have had a love-hate relationship since the early days when they were introduced by Brown's brother Terry, has escalated to an all-time high. Since their debut in 1997 with 'Rated Next,' the trio has referred to themselves as blood brothers -- Tweety and T-Low are actually the only siblings. Tweet and R.L.'s friendship hit a hurdle early on when a mutual encounter with a female caused a riff between the two. They worked through that dilemma, and the group later released 2000's 'Welcome II Nextasy.' The trio followed Clive Davis to his newly formed J Records, after the legendary executive's controversial firing from Arista Records, and immediately began recording their third album.

Problems apparently occurred when RL's unsuccessful solo record 'RL: Ements' was released in April 2002, because the group felt that he sneakily coerced the label into releasing his disk before Next's junior effort. When R.L.'s solo debut failed, J Records rushed the release of 'The Next Episode' in December 2002, and that CD went unnoticed as well.

R.L. was supposedly dating former video vixen and 'A Man Apart' actress Karrine "Superhead" Steffans. Tweet and Steffans had a one-night affair, which caused more drama with Tweet and RL's friendship and working relationship. RL was married for three months to a woman, Ra'sheda, before having the marriage annulled.

Tweet then formed Goldiggez with rapper Max Lux and released a single called 'Keepin' It Real' that questioned R.L.'s business integrity, rapped about how the group refers to themselves as brothers was "fake as hair weaves," it also poked fun at R.L.'s dismal solo record sales, and called R.L. a "diva" and "phony." Tweet has another RL dis song titled "Watch Your Mouth" making physical threats against RL on his myspace music page.

40. According to latest crime reports, they're more whites incarcerated now for drugs than blacks. The crime rate may be higher based on people living in poor economic communities, not on their skin color. Hell, I've seen white guys hit, drink and disrespect women too. Mothers, raise your boys well. Fathers, step up to the plate and take more responsibility. Women, respect yourself and demand more from a relationship.

41. Who the hell wrote this article? they need to first of all, do their homework, and secondly, go back to comp 101 and try to learn how to write something that doesn't confuse instead of inform. would it really have killed you to put "Nikki G, a pop star, went to court..."???? I have no effin clue who this chic is, took me several mins to realize Nikki was the one with the breasts. why the hell can't people name their kids appropriately...u know, boys get boy names and vice versa???? Hey since TMZ hires flunkies, I have an ex who would fit right in, should i tell him to load up his bug and send him ur way?

42. Do some research before writing a story. Bobby Cutts was charged with killing his 9-months-pregnant girlfriend, not his wife.

43. Sassy Gal,

You're absolutely correct. I see someone opened the floodgates for racism on this post, and anyone who thinks crime is a black issue is retarded. Crime is more of a class issue than a race issue. Jails and newcasts love poor black men who cause crimes because 1.) they don't have a good lawyer 2.) they don't have anyone to do the crimes for them (consipracy) and 3.) it's much easier to demonize them.

Whether you're black, white, hispanic, etc., poverty causes rise in crime, not race! Even if it is more prevalent with minorities (which is HIGHLY debatable) it's an indirect result of minorities usually being of lower income social classes. If you go to the trailer parks you find just as many drug dealers, welfare abusers, wife beaters (that's how the term came to be), children without fathers, whorish single mothers, men going in and out of jail, stolen goods, etc. etc.

If you want to use the news as a way to generalize an entire race, is it ok to assume that all white people kill their wives and children, or become serial killers after stalking people on Myspace and Craigslist?

44. Bobby Cutts killed his girl friend Jessie Davis not his wife!!!!

Posted at 10:20AM on May 20th 2009 by nothing_better_to_do

45. She was married to Bobby Cutts when he impregnated Jesse Davis who he later murdered while she was pregnant with his second child. At the time of the murder, Cutts was still married to Giavasis.
