The man who allegedly shot and killed up-and-coming rapper Dolla has been charged with three crimes -- two counts of assault with a firearm and one count of murder.
23-year-old Aubrey Berry -- who allegedly killed Dolla at a shopping mall in Los Angeles on Monday -- is set to be arraigned this afternoon.
He's being held on $1,000,000 bail.
UPDATE: Aubrey Berry's bail has been increased to $5,000,000.
31. It has become almost commonplace that this goes on in public places. No one has commented on the fact that this shooting took place in a mall. A place where innocent people/children could have been hurt or traumatized by seeing someone else cut down. Your focus seems to be on whether he was a good person or what color he was. You don't even expect people NOT to murder each other, and that is what is most frightening about people today and how desensitized they have become.

32. I don't like very much rap, but I suspect very few people here know what this young man's lyrics contained. We have no idea about this person, and so many sit in judgement of him. Not every rapper is a thug (it is my feeling thug has become the replacement term for the N-word), maybe we should wait to hear more about this young man before we destroy his memory. All I am saying is most of the people posting know nothing about this man and yet are so vile.

Any day a black man is put in the ground is a good day - I want to thank the entire black community for planting so many of your young black men into the ground without any help from whites, asians or latinos. You can be proud to be black and have your so called culture but you will never be equal and will always live in the shadows of the other races. Teardrop tattoos usually signify the loss of a friend or loved one. A filled tattoo signifies that a loved one has taken his or her own life, Dolla's father committed suicide. 38. Dolla was not a thug. He was a good person. A stupid young man took Dolla's life not thinking. Being a Rapper does not make you a thug -- all rapp is not full of profanity, hatred and degradation and that was the path Doll was on.
I can not even post the name of this low lifes songs on this board because they are so profane. His big hit is about picking up prostitutes in a strip club. I know that is some cultures that is considered model behavior but....

39. I am white and I'm sick of racists white or black or hispanic or whatever. I do understand racism that comes with someone being fed up and just responding back and being racist cause they are tired of being discriminated against, but it's hard to tell on the internet who is doing that and who is just a true racist. Either way, in atlanta you can't get by being racist because you will pretty much not be able to survive here, you're going to have to deal with other races. The school I go to is at least 98% black...and i'm fine with that, but, if you were racist and you wanted to go into fashion here, you would be screwed. You would not have much of a choice and maybe have to leave the state to find a school (that is if you were white and racist) that would suit you, and that's why I say you can't be racist here and survive and people need to grow up!

45. Some of the type of people that some of you steretype as black i've know that type, same exact type and they were white. These people sold drugs , etc and one of these families , the father and son were selling meth, and one day the son sold it to the father, the father had a heartattack and died, and now that family has to live wit h it and still sells drugs and denies it was the meth. This is a truly trashy family that is white, the kind of family that you people think are black folks but in the town i live in, that type are white all the time. So.....this stuff.....comes with poverty/poor morals. People with good morals in poverty pull themselves out of that one way or another, no matter what race, this family has poor morals period.
