Nas to Kelis: Pay Your Own Damn Way

NASNas, one of the biggest and richest rappers around, does not want to pay his estranged, pregnant wife, Kelis, a penny in spousal support.

Kelis filed for divorce April 30. She's weeks from giving birth and unable to work, but no matter to Nas -- he's filed his response to the divorce, asking the judge to deny her the spousal support she's seeking. For bad measure, he also wants her to pay her own lawyer's fees.

Nas and Kelis both want joint custody of their unborn child.

Kelis cites "irreconcilable differences" for the divorce, but we're told she believes he was cheating on her and that's what buzz-killed the marriage.

Read the article clearly, it says he doesn't want to pay spousal support but he does want to pay child support and have joint custody.Before you go into the he's a typical rapper or black man rant you need to consider that we don't know the reason these two are calling it quits,not that we need to know.He's perfectly willing to take care of his child, just not her.

123. Dang punks Nas will do his part for the BABY!! He just aint gonna give Kelis no EXTRA money, she got her own and he got his own. So when Nas takes the baby with him for the week, should she give him money too!! If they do joint custody, i guess that means Kelis got to give Nas 20,000 right back, then the baby goes with the Kelis and he have to give her 20,000 back again!!! Whatever!!!! Nas just continue to do your thing, love ya!!

125. I am sure that a judge will assess what NAS will have to pay and it won't be the little $5,000. he wants to pay. The courts will base the amount to be paid on a set percentage of the father's monthly income. Also, they do not deduct how much he spends monthly on himself and take a percentage on what is left. They do expect him to keep the baby's life style at the same level of the father. He wants his child support payment total for a year to be less than he spends on himself for one month. That will not be acceptable and like it or not he will have to pay a lot more than $5,000. a month. This is what happens when people not ready to be married or parents don't cover up before they do the deed.

126. kelis get a grip ho. you get caught up and want an ass full of mon-ey in payments. yea i agree he needs to support his child. but sonce you want to left up your skirt in clubs and such to other men other than your hubby. how about you reque-st a D-N-A before the judge grants you a dime for child support and not a penny for spousal support. you weren't thinking about anything other than getting your ba-ack dug out but when busted you want some1 to feel sorry for your broke ass. bitch he should have broke your neck and back then you really would have to sing about your giraffe neck and hunched back.

127. some people are sooo stupid. first of all what the hell does tupac have to do with nas?? not a damn thing and to that person shut the hell up second of all he should have to pay child support and spousal support.... be a man and atleast pay half for all expenses relating to the child and pregnancy after all she didnt knock her self up!!!!!

129. I THINK THAT PEOPLE NEED TO QUIT HAVING BABIES AND TRYING TO BUILD A FAMILY WITH ALL OF THIS UNSTABLE FOUNDATIONS. PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY GET THEMSELVES INTO WHEN THEY GO AFTER CERTAIN TYPES OF PEOPLE BETTER YET TARGET. THESE CHILDREN ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARENTS FIGHTS AND ARUGMENTS BUT WHO IS REALLY THINKING ABOUT THE CHILDREN? WOMEN HAVE BABIES WITH THESE TYPES OF MEN FOR FINANICAL PURPOSES AND THEY KNEW WHAT THEY DOING. SOME MEN HAS BEEN KNOWN TO DO THIS TO (BRITNEY & KEV). THEY NEED TO TAKE A STEP BACK AND LOOK AT WHOSE REALLY AT FAULT AND CAN IT BE CORRECTED? ITS NOT FAIR RAISING THESE CHILDREN LIKE THIS AND KEEPING THEM IN THE MEDIA LIGHTS ITS NOT RIGHT.
