Warren Sapp: Click to watch
Last night outside Villa, Sapp said Vick has paid "more than enough" for bankrolling a dogfighting ring, and calls his release "A beautiful thing."

46. Life is about choices and Michael Vick made his. He doesn't deserve to play in the NFL again. There are plenty of kids out there that have good hearts, work hard, and are contributing members of society who would love the chance to play in the NFL. Michael Vick is sorry for one thing only and that is that he was not more careful about his activities and got himself caught. If he has changed while serving his time in prison, good for him but he does not deserve another chance at playing football, that ship has sailed. He had a responsibility to act with integrity. He had a responsibility to the NFL organization. He had a responsibility to the fans. And lastly, he had a responsibility to the thousands of kids that looked up to him around the world. His arrogance and greed overshadowed all of that. Michael Vick knew the consequences involved and knew that what he was doing was wrong but chose to do it anyway. Why should he now get a second chance ? Should he move on with his life ? Definitely. But his professional football days are finished. Let someone else have the chance to become the next NFL star. Michael Vick's dream has come to a close. Game over.

50. Vick should rot in hell for his actions, but the Broncos need a good qb! We have fast, athletic receivers who would be a perfect match for Vick's mobility in the pocket. But, yeah, he's a real POS.

I'd take him on my fantasy team any day.

54. I am confused here....Are you people mad because he fought dogs or because he is black AND fought dogs? These are some crazy ass comments....Sapp would be okay if M.V raped a child? What kind of stupid crap is that? How many of the white community knows someone who has nuked a cat...Did you call the authorities so your family or friend could pay their debt to society and give back to a cat shelter.....NO!!!! Michael Vick is just as human as the rest of ...Its America's fault for idolizing the famous. Maybe if you made your life better than what it obviously is you wouldn't be whining!!!!

56. Michael Vick's career is over. How could he possibly go back to playing football. Who will support a monster who supported and funded such awful awful things. He reminds me of people I used to know when I was younger that were dealing drugs and had all these viscious dogs around them to "protect" them. It is really sick what he did and to say anything nice about him is a crime. I believe in forgiveness of sins, but these animals couldn't protect themselves from him.

I can't speak for the entire white community but I've don't know of any cases. I did see one case on tv but the Defendants were black.

58. Palm Beach Post: Vick isn't the first athlete to be connected to dogfighting. NBA player Qyntel Woods was accused of hosting dog fights at his Portland home in 2004 and he eventually pled guilty to first-degree animal abuse. Former NFL running back LeShon Johnson received a five-year deferred sentence in 2005 after officials seized 200 dogs during a raid of his dogfighting operation that led to 20 people being convicted. And former Dallas Cowboys lineman Nate Newton was arrested at a dogfight in Texas, although charges were later dropped.

Vick gained support from fellow NFL star Clinton Portis. The Washington Redskins and former University of Miami running back told an Atlanta TV station that he's familiar with dogfighting from his upbringing in rural Mississippi, and he doesn't see a problem if Vick is involved with dogfighting.

"I don't know if he was fighting dogs or not, but it's his property, it's his dog,'' Portis said. "If that's what he wants to do, do it. I think people should mind their business.''

Told that dogfighting is a felony, Portis said, "It can't be too bad of a crime.''

The NFL has responded to the Vick case and Portis' comments, with Commissioner Roger Goodell saying he was "disappointed and embarrassed for Clinton Portis."

59. I would like to know what happen to "Leave Mike Alone's" comment. He was no. 1 when I responded. Seems TMZ took him down or laid the trap for the rest of us! Anyhoo, my comments were in direct response to that person, who started the whole guns, race, drugs. PETA etc. card. He deserves a chance only if he sees th error of his ways, otherwise, he's a piece of sh--t.
