Cricket Star Has Dirty Wicket -- Benched for Warts

"We wanna pitcher, not a genital itcher!"

cricket star

This is actually true -- one of the stars of the Pakistan National Cricket team has been officially benched for a case of the crotch rot ... more commonly known as genital warts.

The Pakistan Cricket board have classified the condition as an "injury" and have decided to sit the player in their next tournament ... he just won't be allowed to sit near anyone else on the team.

Here's the official statement from the PCB: "The medical board has reported that Shoaib Akhtar was suffering from genital viral warts and the wound needs further care and treatment for another 10 days."

Thanks, we think, to Deadspin for bringin' this to our attention...

20. I thought crotch rot was jock itch.......i.e. a fungal infection that boys get from being sweaty in their nether regions.

23. Crotch rot is a fungal infection, genital warts are caused by a virus. Crotch rot is caused by the same type of fungus that caused athlete's foot, ringworm etc and is not uncommon in locker rooms because it thrives on warm, damp skin.

26. WAIT....I DON'T UNDERSTAND.....Does he have "Genital Warts"? of Herpes???
Genital Warts is only contagious if you're having SEX.....and unless those Hunks are doing more in the LOCKER ROOM... than on the ball field, there should be no reason for him to be a danger to his team mates or anyone else...especially if he's wearing a sports cup & soccer shorts....?!?!?! THAT'S WHY THE Y CALL IT "GENITAL" WARTS....IT AFFECTS THE GENITAL AREA....
So what? Is he accidentally sliding into the guys with his raw genitals slapping them in the face?!?!?!?!?!?

I think this may just be some sensational CRAP...
Now if he has a Herpes outbreak, and "IF" it was on an area that he could possibly, maybe, slide into another guy accidentally....that might be an issue of concern....but that is a very far fetched encounter on a soccer field.....
This sounds suspicious.....

29. There are 1,000,000 cases of genital warts diagnosed in the USA each year alone. You can carry the virus for it and not know you have it, meaning that you can expose partners to it unintentionally. It can be contracted orally and there is thought to be a connection between getting it that way and some types of oral cancer. There are other facts I can report but it all goes under the heading of...for Pete's sake...be careful.
