Clay Aiken on Clay Aiken: He's Kinda Sorry

Clay AikenAccording to Clay Aiken, Clay Aiken is misunderstood.

After his recent blast of "American Idol" in general -- and runner-up Adam Lambert in particular -- the singer is now apologizing. Kind of.

Once again taking to his website, Aiken didn't so much withdraw his comments about Lambert's singing, but did say:

"I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me. I imagine he doesn't give a damn! :-) God knows he shouldn't. :-)"

18. Why do people keep apologizing for what they say? He was pretty much right I think. The AI Judges favortism twd Adam & Katy Perry's cape joke probably turned some off from Adam. It is not his fault. I know after all that I sure did not want to see him win just to throw it in their faces. Plus I think Adam will do just fine without winning AI, probably better off he did not win.

19. First off, I hardly think 100 million people represent the majority when there's 300 million people in the US, but I got your point.

As for Clay, perhaps you'll need to pray harder to cure that rabid foot-in-mouth syndrome you have. Not only did you lose your glamour toward Adam, but your spitefulness toward the hand that once fed you are two telling symptoms of this disease. Good luck to ya buddy. :->

20. Well, he finally got something right..............no one gives a d**n what Clay Aiken thinks!! Did he ever hear of the saying, "If you don't have something nice to say about someone, than don't say anything?" I think he just started this whole "mess" so that his name would be out there again, since he's actually in oblivion somewhere........Clay who?????

25. Clay has a good voice but should think before he speaks. He's becoming the VP Joe Biden o former AI contestants. AI has grown over the years and Clay should remember that withou Idol he would have no singing career. The show was a springboard that gave him a big jump in the entertainment field. Don't judge others lest you be judged.

26. This is surely a rant from a very jealous person. He wishes he had people speaking about him from his time in the limelight. Keep speaking out like this and see where your fans go. Adam has as much and surely more then you ever had.

28. Sorry Aiken a little too late. I used to enjoy hearing you sing, but not now. I guess you are still trying to cash in on your 15 min. of fame, but Adam will be around a lot lot longer lol

30. That was the wordiest non-apology apology I've ever read. "Better to remain silient and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"
